You just keep believing that sonny boy if it makes you feel good.

But you make sure you work very hard and pay your taxes so that I, and a couple of million more ex pats, enjoy our retirement in the sunshine. Whilst you have been thinking up your reply I have been on my terrace, laying in the sun, and cooling off by slipping into my own pool, before topping up the old tan again. Oh, and in case your wondering exactly what I do with my British pension I spend every last penny of it on dining out and drinking. My private money pays ALL of our living costs including our 4 cars, and our motorcycle, which is a Suzuki Z 400 quad bike.

Yeah, sure I'm sad. I really wish I was over there paying exorbitant prices for anything worth having, crammed into some dirty stinking city, living in a rabbit hutch sized house, and enjoying the lovely weather you have for 12 - 16 days per year.:roll:

Dempsey? LOL Tyson would destroy Dempsey early, Dempsey was on the brink of being stopped by a crude Firpo

As for the thread question no one in history is going stop Tyson early, the guy had a powerful chin he was the type of guy you needed to break down with continuous punishment.

    You think so?

Can you see Tyson getting up 5 times and with no thought of defence trying to take Foreman's head off with booming left hooks the way Frazier did?

I can't, every time he went down he stayed there.

Which brings us nicely onto a guy who could get up off the canvas and knock the other guy TFO. Dempsey v Firpo

Shame poor little Mikey could never manage that, eh?

Kind of different scenarios though those knockdowns that Frazier/ Dempsey suffered were in the early rounds, when Tyson went down it was usually late in the fight after taking a beatdown, Tyson was a guy you had to wear down.

Remember that for Dempsey to get off the floor for Firpo he had to be put down there in the first place, Firpo was awfully crude, Tyson was a much faster, better combo puncher, harder hitter and better finisher than Firpo would ever hope to be.

What's interesting here is that the topic is based on stopping Tyson quickly, but ironically some of the guys you picked were far more susceptible to being stopped early than Tyson ever was, for example Dempsey suffered a 1st round ko at the hands of Fireman Flynn as well as being rocked early by Firpo, Shavers was koed in one round against Quarry and had a suspect chin, Louis was very susceptible to the early round knockdown. Tyson was never close to being knocked out in the first round or showed vulnerabilities in those early moments like these guys did, as well as on top of this being a notoriously fast starter himself, seems like its far more likely that Tyson would get em out early than the other way round eh?:hey

Think you'll find Tyson could and would be hurt early by the right fighter, Bruno and Holyfield are two fighters that come to mind that visually stunned Tyson early on.

Every fighter can of course be stunned early, however particular fighters show vulnerability to it like a Louis who was stunned early in multiple fights and had multiple early round knockdowns (Galento, Mauriello, Braddock etc) and unlike Dempsey and Shavers Tyson was never knocked out in the first round or was close to being so, so its far more likely that those fighters would be blown out early by Tyson rather than the other way round

Yes I think I'm superman, because my username has superman in it

I guess by your logic, you think you're a fox. Funny how you always call him "the ******" online. Wonder if you'd say that to him personally?

You had to beat the hell out of Tyson to knock him out. I could see Ali throwing quick combinations and wearing him down for a late stoppage or Foreman bombing him with jabs and right hooks and knocking him out in the 7th or 8th.

Tyson was ko'd in 2 as an amatuer. So it can, and has, been done before.
