Because Haye decided to be reckless and burn up his energy trying to take out Thompson, got fatigued and Thompson took advantage. Let's not pretend that Haye was outclassed, he just had a stupid gameplan.

Anyway, the correct answer is Hopkins based on two parts of a career that each on their own would qualify him for first ballot HOF. Calzaghe is an ATG but Hopkins is higher.

I'm a bit curious what Loudon will try to pull if he gives this debate another shot. Repeating that Eubank was past it or that the weight was an issue will not seem credible, given your contribution :think So will he try another angle, or live to fight another day?

There's no "because" in boxing. Haye got his ass handed to him by a 40 year old, and that's not because Haye is ****, it's because Thompson is a bad ass.

But yeah, Hopkins is ahead of Calzaghe.

There are always reasons for losses and wins in boxing, it just depends on whenever they are legit reasons or excuses :D

But in the case of Thompson beating Haye, the "Well, he struggled with him" and the "Anyone can take advantage of a fatigued opponent" and the "I had him winning by two points until the stoppage" mumbojumbo has no place in the discussion. You probably knows this, but insist on trolling.

I'm honestly surprised the poll results are as close as they are.

the only funny thing is your post content, there is no way on earth that it would have been close to Hopkins biggest win.

Excuses :patsch. The fight only went into the 5th round before it was over.
I am a fan of Haye, as I was Thompson, but Haye was the favourite to win. thompson was a faded end of career fighter, yet is the only CW ever to beat Haye, however you would like to think it went. I was there live

Loudon seems a good guy, but I struggle to take him serious as he posts trying to use his own personal thoughts and opinions as a fact and trying to post what he thinks the fighters were thinking and trying to make out that is a fact rather than just his opinion. After a while you realise that he is someone who cannot except losing a debate and sites his own opinion. At which point there I stop bothering.
Here is a part of a post Loudon posted to you which I saw briefly without intentionally reading and had me chuckling
Here he is telling us what Eubank was thinking .
Now he has links and facts but that will be nothing compared to his personal opinion

but...but...but Calzaghe as an unproven contender won in greater style than a CW world champ . Thats right Barry, you get owned in every debate

Tell me what wins Hopkins scored would have been bigger than him beating the undefeated unified SMW champ?
We'll see funny, butthurt and trolling combined in one if you try and answer , but I expect you to pull your usual duck
