    :deal

He has improved. Lets see him vs HNN, Geale, Korobov etc first. Both to build his name, and because he needs to walk before he runs.

He did well vs Rosado - but he should go up one level for his next bout, not 2 or 3 levels IMO.

Same thing happens with Wladimir the moment a HW seems remotely viable, they want to shove him in there with Wlad and obvious result occurs and people call them a bum. If they waited a little while and let them build up their credentials and experience maybe they could be a vaguely viable threat, and when Wlad beats them it would be more significant.
They want to do the same thing with Lemieux now, Lemieux is way better but not nearly ready for GGG.

Could it be that DL just needed a few losses that made him grow up and start listening to any of his trainers ? Being a successful knock-out artist against tomato cans isn't exactly the best thing to happen to a young pro boxer with limited ring adaptability . The first B level fighter he met , Rubio , exposed him in a dramatic TKO loss . And in Lemieux's next fight he lost to a 35 yr old B fighter , Joachim Alcine , who showed that skill beats raw power .

    Yeah exactly.

If DL beat say HNN and Korobov first, not only would his skills likely be improved but people would actually maybe give him a fighting chance and generate some interest.

Once I realized DL was WBC #2 I also started figuring that HBO/K2 probably plan to throw him to GGG ASAP though. No way WBC can deny timely purse bid if GGG beats their interim, #1 and #2 in succession. K2 also seems to be playing along with WBC, attending their events, going to Mexico for ceremonies and such - doing the politicking part.

Pretty sure fight has to be at 160 if it goes to purse bid... that and mandatory split I think are set in stone. Bid winner can set location, ring size, sponsors, etc. But if GGG can come in at 160 that pretty much eliminates any sliver of hope Canelo or Cotto had of beating him.

Lemieux has too much potential for a big fight for Triple G to be blasting him out anytime soon. the guy is only 25 and just getting his bearings.

If I was them I would rematch Rubio, prove for real that he is not the same fighter... then focus on the likes of Taylor, Jacobs, or Quillan. Then if DL still has momentum, it would make for a huge fight with G.

Yeah, I think so. Anber really knows his boxing though, it's too bad it took two losses for him to realize that he wouldn't get by with just his punch.

Now he's sparring guys like Pascal & Alvarez because he's with Ramsay, and he now has a full team (including a nutritionist) behind him because he's with GBP - on Oscar's radar for a potential Canelo move to 160.

Interesting to see that a few of you guys wanted to see him against HNN in this thread... :bbb

Rubio said in Spanish at the post-fight presser that he 'would not be talking to you right now if those shots landed flush'. I doubt he wants any of David 2.0, unless he loses to N'Dam.

As for Jacobs and Quillin, ask Oscar about Uncle Al... those fights are not happening. :-(

At this point in time DL/Lee would be a very good fight to make that is actually possible if DL beats HNN. Lee obviously has something of a chin, some stamina and a threatening punch.

If he can win those two fights, and carry 2 titles into the fight then a DL/GGG fight becomes pretty interesting, and given his power combined with successively winning some real fights I would even give him realistic chance to pull an upset.

Ha! GGG-Lemieux in a Super WBA - WBO - Interim WBC - IBF unification? On HBO?

Kellerman does a radio show, he would probably bust a nut on air.

DL looking better. He was gassing a bit, but not anywhere as close to as bad as he used to.

When he remembers its legal to move your upper body and jab, he actually looks pretty good. He actually looks like a legit guy now.

Also, NDams ring name should be "Vampire" cause I swear youd have to drive a stake through his chest to keep him down.
