Anyone proposing Frazier was a top flight banger needs only to compare the effects of his punching on Chuvalo with those shots Foreman landed on George.

Your evaluation of Frazier's power rests soley on this, not on his resume , which shows he beat on guys all night before finally reducing them to helplessness. Bonavena was dropped by Folley twice by Ellis 3x by Ali,Frazier could not budge him in two tries.

    Absolutely horrendous post.

Huck would get destroyed by the light heavies of Fraziers era. He would not be a factor amongst the heavies.

His style was the perfect antidote for straight 1-2 merchants.

Thats why Vitali had so much trouble with Chisora. And Vitali was much , much better at controlling range than his brother. If Chisora was a savage hitter , he would have stopped Vitali.

    Understand the sport ffs.

I've known lots of guy that hit phenomenely hard and who lacked technique.
Iron Hague was one of the hardest punchers the UK ever produced he was as rough as guts.Luis Firpo is another ,crude as anything.Darren Corbett the Irish Lightheavy had a tremendous right hand and nothing else, ditto Jack Doyle, Lamar Clark.,Lew Jenkins. You can improve a puncher but you can't make one.imo.

How did your beer festival go? By the way it's 34 today, and I am not as far south as Seville, so you might like to think about bringing the other half out if the heat is a problem.

Festival went well but a bit of rain about 7, by which time I was oblivious to it. Going to my cousins 65th today, barbecue and ****up, it' s not cold but a bit overcast. I think Seville might be a bit too hot for my lady in July, but she runs a surgery and we haven't the luxury of picking our dates. Enjoy the sun:good

I think Huck would beat the following lhv's ranked in Frazier 's time.
    Bob Dunlap
    Tom Bogs
    Yvan Preberg
    Andy Kendall
    Ray Anderson
    Hal Carroll
    Larry Buck
    Gomeo Brennan
    Piero Del Papa
    Mark Tessman
    Brian Kelly
    Pat O Connor
    Conny Velenseck
    Rudiger Shmitdke
    Eddie Owens
    Maxie Smith
That's 16 to be going on with.
It was a pretty average era for 175pounders ,except for Foster.

    Heavyweights ranked
    Manuel Ramos
    Jack Bodell
    Jose Roman

I'm not here to debate with the damaged, but to rehabilitate.

If you are still at the point of believing Mr. Huck would be losing to rated "golden age" fighters like Sugar Chuck Wepner and the many other nondescript types that also achieved world rankings then, it's best to continue at this stage. Your carefully crafted reality is too sensitive just yet.

The light heavyweight crack is simply venting and a lash back from a wounded mind. Bob Foster wouldn't survive 9 rounds with Huck.

Or you could compare the effect Frazier's left hook had on Ali with the punches Foreman landed on Ali.

Frazier's a light hitting fighter who isn't an all time great, though. He still beat a better Ali than anyone else ever managed to. He's never been forgiven for it.

Just a fat unathletic 37 years old unprepared bum could destroy the prime wlad easily. Sanders did nothing before and after wlad obviously he was a bum and still he could knock down wlad 4times.
I don't like Frazier but the Ali beater half-blind weak Joe was better than this bum Corrie Sanders.

Quarry broke Shavers jaw because he could punch hard but this
doesn't mean he was an elite puncher or an outstanding fighter.
Everybody can punch hard including Zuri Lawrence.
Or try to ask Mike Tyson!(But i think everybody knows his opinion about this question.)
