Yet Smith had no problem slagging off Rocky Fielding for coming in overweight.

I know this fight was a horrible mismatch and Smith had no chance of winning but he still could have made more of an effort. Ward will have had much tougher sparring sessions in the build up to this fight.

Yeah nine rounds of negativity billy not like he come to win that fight at all he was in there for the money can't knock him for that but people need to be honest and forget he did nine rounds with a great fighter talk and be honest he was negative and didn't throw anything

You can't have it both ways Billy and everyone else that gives Smith much credit for last night.

For Ward it was a chance to get rounds under his belt,Smith high guard taking shots partially on his gloves the game plan being for Ward to tire no chance? The extra weight did him no favours premeditated or not.

Many threads on the issue of fighters missing weight of which you recently also was critical of any fighter that did. With B Smith on this said it as well slaughtered Fielding rightly so but you have to no leg to stand on when you do the same. Not talking a few ounces or a pound miles over.

Smith was out of condition his trainer JG should also get some stick for this his primary job to get his fighter in shape to deliver the best performance he could, regardless of opponent.

For sure he was never going to beat Ward but he never gave himself the chance to do anything to ask Ward any questions. No excuses was like a sparring session for Ward.

****er outside the ring and massively over rated inside it. Poor display by Ward.

You don't have to be in condition to go 9 rounds when all you do is hold a high guard and back pedal a bit, and throw 1-5 punches a round. Durable sure, conditioned no.

He went nine roundsbecause Ward allowed him to, let's not act like that's some sort of badge of honour, Ward isn't some go for the KO killer

I wonder if Smith can make 168lb in time for Buglioni's 1st defence of his WBA title

it really doesn't matter if you've boxed or not.

In football, as a punter paying money i'm allowed an opinion of my team. If i think sterling is being a c*nt I don't have to have kicked a ball round to have an opinion.

Smith, fundamentally embarrassed himself in this fight. Yes the silver lining is he made £100,000 pre tax for his family for this fight. The flip side is he eroded a lot of goodwill we had for him. I was gutted he lost the first abraham fight, not he's made him self look a little silly.

Kinda like a stan collymore who every week on talksport criticises current players for not being committed to just playing the game when he was one of the most guilty of that during his generation.

Smith sells himself as a hard worker, trusty gatekeeper, man of the people. I was willing to buy that but after this week - that's expired. When he's punting he should just keep his ****ysis technical, which he does a good job of.

He said it was a mistake the weight, but you can see his reaction when he gets weighed! Looked planned to me and very unprofessional especially as he makes SMW and to forfeit that amount of money! :huh
