GGG is a boxing superstar since his teens. There are very few you can say that about in today's boxing, Rigo perhaps. Ward faced many solid A grades, but never a true elite like GGG, so it's true.
Why do you think Cotto fought a bum like Geale when he could simply beat GGG and make more money and reputation? Because he knows he can't. It's not all about the resume to judge a boxer's level if you understand what you're watching. He was always a true elite.

I would take that bet if the time comes. Ward is far more accurate than anyone 3G has faced, faster, most likely stronger and would be giving him angles and turning him all night. Golovkin is awesome, Ward in my opinion has to much talent though.
People pushing GGG to face Ward to me this is an easy fight no way smaller man beat Ward on top he's an amazing boxer who dominates the center of the ring so well.
