Both give him absolute hell. Golovkin Throws 80 punches per round and Ward is not nearly as good defensively as Mayweather is. Even the "below sparring partner" grade fighter he just beat tagged him with some of the 27 total punches he threw. Ward also backs straight up...way easier for Kov and GGG to track him down. Not saying either beat Ward but he would have to go through hells gate to do it. But instead,he wants to stay at 168 and fight guys he already soundly beat. Kovalev showed he has high boxing skill, but possibly his chin may be shaky.

If I was to pick... I think Ward loses to both but are 50/50 fights.

Ward vs GGG is a 50/50 fight for me, either GGG knocks him out or Ward by decision, Kovalev on the other hand would knock Ward out I believe.

I'm 100% sure Ward would beat GGG just too complete he would kill him on the outside and have his way with him on the inside. Kovalev however is a very different story and is a pick em fight IMO.

The Eastern Europeans are ALL alike, sound fundamentals with big power but nothing special beyond knocking over TOMATO CANs in impressive fashion. Bum-love-kin and the TOMATO KAN Krusher both have the same weaknesses. They both lack an inside fighting game. Get inside of their power punches and you can essentially have your way. Neither one of these guys have a jab worthy of mention alongside the greats. Take it away and they're both disarmed...

ward lacks an inside game too, unless you count headbutting and holding as an inside game

Which is the main reason why Ward would dominate GGG he would kill him on the inside. With Kovalev that would be more difficult as he's the bigger stronger and longer man.

    Ward is nasty. Pfp #2.

Kovalev and GGG present the biggest challenges going forward for Ward on many levels. Power, precision, chin and boxing acumen to name a few.
    Hope these fights get made.

I personally think Ward dominates Bum-love-kin from the outside or on the inside. Bum-love-kin's sweet spot is in the midrange - but Ward is better equipped to control the distance, IMO..

Ward takes away his jab and picks him apart. Again, controlling the distance here is key and Ward has a considerable advantage in the hand and foot speed department...
