There were no advantages troll. Ward was just seen by most as filler and a hype job before the Super 6. Kessler along with Abraham were the co-favorites to win the Super 6.:deal Kessler wanted to fight in America so he could get introduced to the American public, he wanted to be a star here. Too bad for him Ward had other plans and gave him that work and the rest is history. Lastly, I wasn't aware that Froch-Ward or Ward-Abraham took place in Oakland.:hi:

No I haven't, Ward is an excellent fighter I just think DeGale beats him.

Ward just took how many rounds to stop (well Smiths corner stopped it) a fat, out of shape, uninterested Paul Smith?
The same Paul Smith that Groves blew away in two rounds, infact Smith was in great condition then.

Oh don't tell me, "He's been out the ring for......", cobblers, he has been in the gym getting quality sparring and keeping himself in great shape.

Ward is a very good fighter but I believe there are a few fighters that give him serious problems.

Ward isn't a KO puncher he doesn't look to knock guy out he looks to outbox guys.:deal He was coming off a long layoff and made easy work of Smith. Degeale didn't stop Dirrell and is no where near as good as Ward is. Ward is one of the most complete fighters in the game today so I don't know what you're getting at? He can fight at all ranges with good defense and a high ring IQ. IMO second most complete fighter in the game behind PBF.

Kessler got his ass kicked plain and simple. He couldn't adjust and got outboxed all that other stuff is sour g****s. Ward didn't fight Abraham in Oakland either he could fight both on the moon and the outcome would be no different.

That's your opinion and I said Ward is an excellent fighter.

I'm not having this "long lay off" rubbish, Mayweather has had long lay offs and come back at top level and won.

Ward obviously didn't feel he could come straight back at top level because he chose a small super middleweight at a catchweight.

I believe DeGale beats him. I think we will find out, DeGale Vs Ward could happen and then we will see.

Also does Ward have the bottle to leave the U.S.?

DeGale, Froch, Bute, Kessler and quite a few others have fought outside their countries, let's just see if Ward will.

    Just like to add.

People give Froch grief for not deciding if he fighting again but if he does or if he did, the names were DeGale or GGG after over a year out of the ring, that would have been coming back in at a real solid level.

That's what great fighter do, now OK Froch hasn't done it yet but that's the sort of fighter he was talking about returning to fight and what did Ward give us? I'll tell you, a catchweight against Paul Smith.

Degale is a good fighter but he's not outboxing Ward and he's not knocking him out so how does he win?
Does PBF need to leave Vegas? Ward can do just fine fighting here. The big money fights are almost always here in America. I didn't make the rules that's the way it is so there's really no need for him to go anywhere else

Dirrell and Ward are on two different levels one has never won a title and the other is a undefeated Ring champ at 168 and P4P #2 fighter.:deal Another big difference is that Dirrell is very mentally weak and Ward is a very mentally tough fighter who hasn't lost a fight as a pro or amateur since he was 12.:deal

We'll see if it happens, maybe I blinded by my love for my British fighters, if I'm wrong I'll hold my hands up like I always do.

I was very confident DeGale would beat Dirrell and I feel the same confidence in him fighting Ward.

People thought DeGale wouldn't or couldn't KO Dirrell but he was very very close to doing just that, some said he wouldn't outbox Dirrell the slippery technician but he did enough to win in Dirrells country.

While I agree about Mayweather not leaving Vegas, Ward is not that big, not box office, as I said he is excellent but we are talking worlds apart when we are talking money and PPV in America between Ward and Mayweather.
