Kovalev has a great jab...when you compare with with other Russian boxers. But it's an average jab in comparison to Ward who has the best jab in Boxing. Kovalev is too sloppy and slow to stop the jab landing upstairs or to the body all night. Ward could literally jab his way to a shutout.
