1 Hassan N'Dam Cameroon 2 NOT RATED 3 Billy Joe Saunders England 4 David Lemieux Canada 5 Sam Soliman Australia 6 Sergio Mora United States 7 Eamonn O'Kane Northern Ireland 8 Tureano Johnson United States 9 Ryota Murata Japan 10 Sergey Khomitskyi Belarus Top 10 IBF for May. N'Dam lost the belt, Saunders is fighting Lee, Lemieux just won the belt, and I have no idea what happened with Soliman. Most likely his mandatory is Soliman as he's the next highest rated guy. I just checked Boxrec and Soliman is fighting Dominic Wade here soon. It's a good turn-over too if Soliman wins.
Omfg, is Soliman getting another crack at that belt? Sergio Mora is fighting Daniel Jacobs and that leaves us with Eamonn O'Kane or Tureano Johnson...
I was saying that from the first. Lemieux can just fight Soliman and reign as the champ for 1,5 years until his next mando. It's pointless for him to just go for GGG and lose the belt in his first defense in a devastating fashion. He can have bigger paydays in the future. GGG is pretty much out of options right now unless he can get Jacobs in the ring, or perhaps someone like Eubank Jr.
Looks like Lara is the way to go, if it can actually be made with him being a haymon fighter and all. It would probably end up being a mismatch because of Golovkin's power and ability to cut off the ring, but it would silence a couple of the critics for a couple of days/hours.
Fair play to GGG,he wants to unify the belts but might have issues with the ibf,as holder will not fight, they should force the hand and not take stepaside money, then when Lee beats Saunders GGG can have a crack at taking all titles and who would bet against him.
William Joe Saunders doesn't seem too keen on facing Golovkin anytime soon. Not that he wouldn't fight him if he had to that is but if he had it his way he'd do so in about 3 or 4 years when he was peaking and Golovkin is on the slide. Says he has no problem facing any other MW in the world right now though. Even the gypsies fear Golovkin. :yikes [YT]vyC85am6c-k[/YT]
Lemiuex is going to fight a bum all those top ten rated fighters are busy, then only that is solid is Johnson and I think He is the frontrunner to fight GGG next.
You might be right on that. I don't think Team Lemieux wants anything to do with Golovkin at this particular time.
