    I do think Ward would do a better number on Froch this time, and I really do like The Cobra, and I think Froch can beat GGG still, but I don't think he does as well against Ward this time as he did last time, and I didn't think he did especially well the first time around in any case.

    And on this note, I won't say I'm on the Krusher Express, but I recognize him as a unique an intelligent talent. I admit I would be rooting for Ward in such a match-up, and I wouldn't write Ward off, but I'm afraid at the end of the day, John David Jackson's prediction prior to the Hopkins fight might prove true against Ward as well.

    He said something to the effect "Once Hopkins feels the power, it will alter his game and put him in retreat". Ward is currently a much more athletic boxer than Hopkins, and Ward has better endurance, is more active, and has a tremendous left hand that Hopkins has lacked in recent years (and Hopkins left hand was probably not as good as Ward's is now, even when B-Hops was at his best).

    So Ward has the tools, I think. But he would have to fight an almost flawless, near perfect fight against Kovalev, and I'm not sure I like his chances of doing that.

    So IMHO, a Kovalev stoppage or a Kovalev points win similar to Hopkins are both very likely outcomes.

    Those are definitely the 2 fights I'm most interested in seeing, and I think both fights are close to 50-50 on paper, but I think Froch probably beats GGG and Kovalev probably beats Ward.

    Fair shout. I think Rigo's in the discussion as well, and while it is my honest opinion that Floyd and Ward truly are the 2 most talented boxers in the world today, I confess to trolling a tad in the opening. But I don't expect people to take my openings too seriously.

    I don't think it's necessarily fair to say that Kovalev or Stevenson ever ducked one another, although I can see why people would say Stevenson previously ducked Kovalev, and I can also see why people would say Kovalev ducked Stevenson more recently.

    But I think they're both just playing politics in typical boxing fashion.

    I think Beterbiev has a better chance than Stevenson because he is a two handed fighter. Also his punches from down and up is awful for Ward should he decides to grab. The uppercut that KO Campillo was thrown with out any notice at all.

    Kovalev could have had the Stevenson fight seeing as he was Adonis' mandatory AND his contract with HBO was up. Instead of negotiating with team Stevenson or letting the fight go to a purse bid, Team TOMATO KAN Krusher re-upped with HBO and forfeited their mandatory status.

    Had the roles been reversed, EVERYBODY would be screaming Stevenson ducked Kovalev from the mountain tops.

    Kovalev DUCKED Stevenson. Period, end of.

    Adonis called Sergey's bluff and Sergey said "Daddy I don't want none".

    Based on his track record of learning from his mistakes he performed better against Kessler and Groves in his second attempts at them, it stands to reason Froch who has underrated skills will learn from his mistakes and make some of the necessary adjustments in a rematch, I'm not saying he'll win but like Kovalev, he can fight a disciplined fight when he wants to, and may be able to make it a little closer the second time around. Ward this time around will have full mobility of both of his arms but that could also backfire and open him to being tagged by Froch more as well.

    It's clear as day really, Ward is already very defensive minded.

    Ward is clever enough not to get stopped but if he engages, which he must do to win, then he is getting hurt.

    Your'e going to need some insane speed, a great chin and footwork beat Kov. Roy Jones for example.

    I think the question should be.
    "Is Andre Ward good enough to beat Kovalev"

    I'm a huge Joe Calzaghe fan and would favour Kovalev over any version of Joe at 175lbs.
    That power, speed and accuracy would be too much for Ward.
    Even if Ward stayed on the outside I see him getting hurt from some of those jabs. When he does, Kovalev has that killer instinct.
