Any show that continually brings on guests such as McCrory and Oliver is bounds to hit the rocks sooner or later. Smith and Nelson repeat questions as well. Not even good ones. Smith: "That's what makes boxing so special isn't it Spencer, fighters engage with fans...." Thirty seconds later.... Nelson: "That's what sets boxing apart isn't it Glenn, the interaction between fighters...."
Hearn produces shyte shows on Sky Sports so the previews of shyte cannot be anything other than shyte.
Almost as comical as his "American" accent! Or asking the guest to reveal their ideas (hit his hands). Or his fluffing up of every other line. Johnny is the man, but he's a much MUCH better pundit. That's his forte.
Ah.. That's why all of a sudden Sky Sports boxing website has been pushing non Sky produced video. Guessing they gonna create some snazzy boxing portal.
Ringside is really poor these days. Is dated and presenters are poor. Can't see Sky dumping and not replacing as it basically promotes the Matchroom shows
Disappointed with the news but not devastated. Obviously want as much boxing related content as possible but lets be honest, the show is dreadful. I like Nelson but he isn't a host, as has been said he makes a far better pundit. The guests they have on are an absolute joke, seems every second week Scott Quigg is sat there like dear in the headlights tripping over his responses. Their footage and round up of the small hall shows up and down the country was their saving grace but that segment only lasted about 3 minutes then it was back to asking Callum Smith what it's like being part of a family where all the brothers box. Same old tedious drivel, week in week out.
I loved it when it first come out with paul dempsey and mcguigan back in 1997. its really gone down hill nick since adam smith took over never watchin it again after last week. spencer callin AA A great fighter
Dont they always stop it for the summer months??? I think they need to refresh it totally. Do a type of Sunday supplement with boxing jurno's on it previewing the fights on that weekend be it Sky Shows or whatever with the likes of Gareth Davies and Tris Dixon and a few others it might be a better option. Have Ed Robinson presenting it. Even have 1 former pro fighter on it a week be it rotating to give the pro side of the fights. While do a ringside speical once a month with former top boxers from all around the world. Theres so many that can be done and going over there fights from the past get a audience in to ask questions always good to have it.
