Nice fight for Parker. Tupou is a tough, experienced, journeyman fighter who has picked up a few minor wins of his own and this would be Parker's second fight in less than 2 months.
Yes. Tupou is better than Fujimoto who was KO'd by a rugby player and went life and death vs Chauncey Welliver and former junior middleweight (twice).
Bo is a little better than Kyotaro but will still get blown out quickly and not do a thing for Parker's development. Oh well, onward & upward..
Next best thing after Joshua in the crop of up and coming heavies. (but don't count out Rivas, he's a sleeper...)
Polynesian heavies generally have low thresholds once you rise above the crushing of tomato cans and chinny gatekeepers (or underprepared contenders, ie Boytsov), with the exception of Tua (of whom most of the rest are just poorer carbon-copies) - who actually had a threshold of his own, even in his prime just shy of elite due to his one-dimensionality. Tupou, Wolfgramm, Haumono, Leapai... all in the same mold, essentially.
Hughie Schmooey. He's well below Joshua, Parker, and Rivas in terms of skill, pedigree & talent. Maybe the 2nd best youngster emerging in the UK though. :good
actually a lot of good polynesian heavys coming through atm Jai Opetaia and David Nyika are great prospects in the heavys
Do you project them going further than any of the names mentioned above, though? (incl. Tua, who for all his notoriety didn't ever quite "make it")
