Who ranks higher All time? Hopkins or Calzaghe?

After losing the rematch against Collins, in an interview he gave to either Boxing Monthly or Boxing News (can't remember which one it was now), Eubank said he planned to fight at LHW but that he could fight at three different weights (SMW, LHW, and CW). Around that time there was talk of him fighting Scottish SMW Willie Quinn (Quinn was only a small SMW too), Herol Graham at SMW and match up against European LHW champion Crawford Ashley for the vacant WBU LHW strap, IIRC.

Eubank said he planned on fighting at LHW or possibly even CW on a UK TV show he appeared on saying that he wanted to win a belt up at LHW and one of the reasons for this was because he was desperate for a rematch with Collins (who he borderline hated) and Collins had told him the only way he would get one was if he won a title at a higher weight. Those defeats to Collins hit Eubank really hard and he badly wanted to meet him again. You can see how much disdain he had for Collins during the interview and how badly he wanted to face him again so he could exact his revenge. Later on in the interview Eubank is posed the question whether he was open to the idea of fighting Roy Jones (who had only recently moved up to LHW) and Frankie Liles (who was the reigning WBA SMW king at the time), Eubank's response was yes.

Saying Eubank was a CW for his previous two outings prior to facing Joe is disingenuous. Yes, technically it's true but truth be told he was only 2lbs above the LHW limit or 9lbs above the SMW one. He weighed 177lbs for those fights, well inside the the CW limit which was 190lbs back then.

And both those bouts were non-title affairs for f*ck sake against very low level opposition, one of whom was a blown up MW who had only fought above the MW limit once before, in his previous outing. He weighed 161lbs so that meant Eubank was 16lbs heavier than him on the night.

The reason he fought Thompson at CW for his WBO crown was because it was a extremely easy fight to make due to the fact that they both shared the same promoter (Frank a place where rabbits live) who Eubank had recently signed a 10 fight deal with. atsch

But none of this matters because, for the umpteenth time, Eubank clearly wasn't weight drained when he fought Calzaghe and he clearly had plenty left both before and after facing him.
