BT wont be a big player just yet in boxing they should be but they wont be. BT have over paid on the Champions League and Europa League games thats some amount of money spent to get those rights. Dont expect BT to be active in bidding for anything soon in my opinion. Also they are charging there customers a extra £5 for the right to see the Champions league so there subs are going up soon. Now will people pay the extra £5 for BT along with Sky Sports and whatever other subs they have for Champions League football?? Or will they just go to the pub or stream the games online instead??? This is a huge risk BT has taken.

 

BT overpaid for champions league. lost to sky on on 1st pick premier league TV rights.

lost to sky on floyd vs mayweather also.

BT are strong yes but some people think they can beat sky on anything they want and thats simply not true.

just look at the major sporting events worldwide right now and see what channel they are on.

One sided boxing cards will of course reduce viewing figures and poor PPV cards more so another reason to say enough.

Football side they are really stretching fan loyalty old enough to remember the boom and bust of Seria A Italy.You can only squeeze so much out of fans....and if they walk they generally won't come back imo.

 

What annoys me most is when he stacks the card with mismatches. Tomorrow isn't too bad but what is the point in bellews opponent? smith and fielding are in good matchups but then in there next fighs they'l be fighting bums I assume... He has fighters make a step up then they step back down the fight after, whats the point? He just liikes giving his fighters easy paydays too often... With established fighters like bellew, I just don't understand what it good it will do, I'm of the opinion that it can't actually hinder some fighters, some people just perform to there opponents level and can actually bring you down...

I saw his interview today on IFL saying why would he match fielding with smith yet.. for a british title its not worth the risk to there career. Degale groves is the prime example that the losers career isn't over. Smith fielding should be made now, it's a good fight and both the winner and loser can learn alot and go on, losing isn't the end.
