I think Ward is an easy fight for Kovalev. Kolvalev would want to show off his stuff on him and you just know Ward is going to sleep. The Pascal that fought Kovalev would murder Ward.

I like Rummy Corner (Ruuuummys Coooorner) because there is boxing videos

With that said, Kovalev knocks Ward down a few times before winning a UD

Just watched the video, Rummy. You think Kovalev is more skilled than GGG? How do you figure? :huh

I think he has a far, far greater chance of beating Andre than GGG does but it's due to size, strength, and range rather than skill IMO.

rummy thinks that becasue he backed hopkins to 'school' kovalev. he was then shocked that kovalev has skills and suddenly rates him

he think ward easily beats beterbeiv too dispite never fighting at 175

imo beterbiev is a harder fight than kovalev for ward.. Beterbiev manhandles guys in the clinch and ward wont even want to clinch him after his gets club to death

If Kovalev knocks Ward down ONCE, he will finish him.

:thumbsup I literally JUST said the exact same thing about Artur/Ward vs Kova/Ward in a PM.

No way Sergey is more skilled than GGG IMO. But I give GGG a 10-20% chance against Dre and Sergey a 45-55% chance. Artur I'd give a 55-65% chance.

    I give GGG 60% chance, Kova 70%, Beterbiev 80%.

Its clear to see there are more dangerous names in the LHWs for Ward to consider at the moment. Its sad to see a so called top talent so averse to a challenge. Even the great RJJ tested himself from moving to LHW from Middleweight. There is no reason why he can't walk into LHW healthy. But why would he when he remains the top dog in the SMWs. ITs a shame there aren't any outstanding SMWs out there.

Punching power is *meaningless* if you can't find the target and Ward has arguably the best defense in boxing next to Mayweather...

id go different if give ggg a solid 30%, kovalev at last 65% and id go 80% for beterbiev

ward cant hurt beterbiev in the slightest, he also cant use his best defensive weapon the clinch, because you dont want to clinch beterbiev and i dont see him being able to pot shot and run the whole night

He can run the whole fight like Hopkins and lose a wide UD. No way Ward can avoid Sergey's shots including body shots for 12 rounds and manage to score enough points to win.

I didn't exactly ignore them. I just went through the 5 potential opponents that, at least from my perspective, are the most recently discussed as possible foes.

And as for the opening, I admitted that Rigo and Roman probably deserved shouts here in the thread, but IMO Floyd and Ward are the most talented. As much as I like Wlad, he's been slipping the past few years and showing his age.

    Thanks for watching.

Did I actually say Kovalev was more skilled than GGG?

I do think GGG is more talented, although I think Kovalev clearly rates higher P4P and is far more accomplished (things I have mentioned consistently on the forum in recent months, at least dating as far back as Kovalev vs Hops).

The points I was trying to make...

    1. GGG, a middleweight, is the "easiest" target for Ward, based on size (I thought I specifically mentioned that the size difference would prove too much for GGG)

    2. Froch, a true 168'er, would prove more difficult than GGG because he's bigger (but I don't think he would do as well as he did first time against Ward for a variety of reasons).

    3. The big strong 175 pounders are more challenging prospects for Ward because of their size and power.

    4. Of the 3 175 pounders often discussed for possible showdowns for Ward, Kovalev is the one who has the right set of skills to go along with his power.

Of course, these are just my opinions. WTF do I know.
