i used to love watching jamie moore box and personally think its a crying shame that he never fought for or won a world title. imo he was underrated and had good skills and a will to win as shown in the matthew macklin fight, he also fought harder fights than others without getting his shot but i always have to listen to others tell me that he was overrated and lucky to get his euro title. so which is it? underrated or overrated
apart from the macklin fight the others that really stick in my mind were the 3 fights with michael jones!! and when he was upset but super scott dixon!! then there was the fights with facey. he was always a tricky customer!
It's a pity he didn't get a world title shot, but he did lose a couple of fights at the wrong time. I think he is rated about right - most people seem to view him as someone of upper Euro/fringe world level who may have been able to pick of a weak world champion. The only people who may overrate him are the type of people who mistake excitement with effectiveness. I always loved watching him. Great entertainment in the ring and a decent bloke outside of it. He is one of the better people on Ringside, too, and he seems a decent trainer.
Good fighter- slightly underrated. Good as a pundit, would be a decent enough replacement for Watt in 2030 when he finally leaves.
I always enjoyed watching Jamie he gave 100%, however he just fell short of world class but winning what he did proves he was a class operator, has well as a very nice man
Dirty old town.............dirty old town. I think he was on the cousp of a world title fight before Rhodes. Styles make fights and he just ran into the wrong one at the wrong time.
