Lara is smarter than you think, he knows enough to keep talking about GGG, because without that, there would be no reason for anyone to even be mentioning Lara's name.

I wish we could still post that "Didn't read" GIF :patsch JK
Seriously, I browsed some of it and there are some valid points you bring up. Your problem is that your ****ysis of Lara is very biased, even when you credit him with something you immediately find something to counteract the credit. If you're going to write an unbiased report, the report should be truly unbiased. That being said, I don't believe Golovkin himself is "afraid" of Lara, I absolutely believe they (his handlers) consider Lara a threat that could possibly spoil or outbox him over 12. That no matter how the fight turns out, even with a win it could take some of the luster off of Golovkins "status"'

Then why doesn't he fight him?. Golovkin's record is so bad that he seems to get a pass for calling out Welterweights and Light Middleweights.

Lara could frustrate Golovkin with his elusiveness, as he is simply a few classes above the greener (albeit talented and underrated) Monroe Jr. - but the question does inevitable become "for how long can Lara elude him?" given that lesser stalkers than Golovkin (Canelo, Perro, Marty) have been able to eventually touch him up. :think

I do think Golovkin ultimately knocks Lara out, but I'd disagree that Lara poses him no problems whatsoever.

Lara is not a tomato can so I don't expect Triple Duck to fight him. Lara's skills would cause Triple Duck some problems but he doesn't seem to have the power to beat Triple Duck. He would still look fairly beatable against Lara and that would go against the narrative his team wants to project.

If Lara had been given every decision he deserved (he should be undefeated imo) he would be head and shoulders above Golovkin p4p. The guy has one of the best resumes of any active fighter.

If Monroe Jr can give Golovkin problems you better believe Lara will do way more than that. He's an elite boxer and levels above Monroe. If Team GGG were so confident of beating him surely they would have at least called his bluff by now.

Yeah, I also don't see Lara being any threat to Golovkin either.

The only time Monroe gave Golovkin problems was when he stood his ground and pushed Golovkin back, fought him on the inside. Lara WON'T DO THIS!

:goodThanks. For the record I actually like Lara quite a bit as well even though it might not sound like it, I'm just being honest and calling it like I see it. I didn't attempt to say I was a fan of Lara because I knew it would be pointless and no one would believe me.

:goodMaybe the not one problem comment is slight hyperbole, and I never do that.:yep Regardless as elusive as Lara is he may last a few rounds longer than Monroe did in that style because he is a level or two above him, which means he'll be KO'd or KD'd in 3 or 4 using that style. The only way to beat GGG is to back him up and Lara won't do that, and I don't believe he has it in him to even try.
