    The truth is, after the Hatton fight, Floyd wasn't trying to see what was brewing in the welterweight division for 21 months. Didn't want to see Manny around that time or Paul Williams or Margarito. Williams and Margarito fought each other and so did Manny and Cotto. Floyd didn't want any part of that. I always thought it was rather cowardly what he did.

    he was having hand problems so he retired. Dont we all want boxer to retire before its too late? He came back when he was better and rested

    When he retire he was on a 3 fight win streak vs the undisputed WW Champ, Undisputed JWW Champ and the #1 rated JMW Champ. Getting up for Cotto/Mosley who both ducked previously or Margarito/Williams who's claim to fame isn't there in ring career but the rumor that Floyd was ducking is hard to do. He retire let them build a name and beat the ones who did.
