Vargas was NOT going to win that fight. If you rewatch the last 30 seconds you can see Tim get rocked, stagger back, collect himself, block a left hook PERFECTLY, and grab hold. This is the Timbo who couldn't be finished of by Ruslan.

Even if Vargas landed a shot and put Tim down, he was getting back up.

The last 7 seconds would've been Tim holding, getting broken up, Vargas throwing a wild right, and Tim ducking into another clinch.

Vargas looked bad in the fight. I'm surprised this kid had so much hype. He's rather ordinary and certainly not elite. Hope there's no rematch and I'm sorry Tim has another * on his resume.

He'd make the bell but I thought he'd handle Vargas easier

Vargas was robbed of his chance to score a spectacular 12th round come from behind stoppage.

No one is defending him because he doesn't have lots of fans and isn't a fan favorite.

But just imagine if Pacquiao landed a big punch on Mayweather in the 12th, had him hurt, and the ref stopped the round too soon. The outrage would be astronomical! "Pac was robbed! he was going to stop Floyd! the ref was paid off!"

I guess the chance of him getting KO'd in that last 7 seconds is less than 5%, but it was a definite screwup by the referee.
That said, Vargas isn't a puncher by any stretch and badly hurt Bradley twice. That doesn't bode well for Timmeh's future.

Vargas got so many gifts in his career anyway.

Bradley was screwed. His legs and head were wobbly. Practically out on his feet. The ref broke it up just when Vargas was setting to bang him into unconsciousness. It's totally unfair and bizarre.

Bradley is weak sauce. Any good hitter kills him. He's very active and aggressive but weak puncher and lame defense.

Obvious ref screw up...but Gotta be delusional to think Vargas could finish Bradley. Even with a knock down Bradley still wins

Bradley got a few gifts too.

Controversial endings are the most deserving of rematches and this one
    qualifies.:deal

I pick Bradley in the rematch too.

    We will never know.

    Vargas lost 117-111/116-112.

It was a screw up but it doesn't take away from Bradley's win. It is part of the story but by no means the whole story, which I fear is all that will be remembered of the fight.

If someone said Vargas going up to 147 for the first time with 9KOs would've stunned Bradley they would've been called delusional.

Anything can happen. Vargas was robbed, simple as that.
