Vassilly Jirov was as tough as they come. A relentless pressure fighter that could cut off the ring with good proven power and a very good chin. It took a great fighter in James Tony combined with an awsome performance + over a 1yr layoff to take away his belt
Prime Deleon would be too slick for the straight ahead, but busy Jirov. Deleon would box around his rushes for a unanimous decision.
No doubt Jirov, too busy, too tough, too strong, too much pressure, better chin, and Jirov never tired in fights, and was impossible to discourage, De leon was stopped 5 or 6 times in his career, so he wouldn't be durable enough to make it to the final bell:-( Jirov had just too much animal in him for Deleon to compete with, and stops him late after Deleon takes a lot of punishment..
This would be a good competitive fight but I like DeLeon. He was just the better all around fighter and as much as I like Jirov, he was very hittable and that is bad thing against a razor sharp puncher like DeLeon.
