I'm half Italian, but I lived in America and my family is from America. If I become great in something, I don't think I'd be termed the best "Italian" in it... I'm pretty sure it'd just be American. Golovkin might have Russian ancestry, but he's Khazak. Then again, if someone was full-blooded Mexican but born in our country...would they be termed best Mexican or American? Hmm, idk. I suppose there's a politically correct format.
My Father is from Russia and my Mother is an American with Irish ancestry, therefore I'm an American who happens to also be an Irish Russian ethnically. GGG is a Russian Korean who was born in Kazakhstan. So you could make an argument that he's all of the above.
All Golovkin needs is for boxing politics to get out of the way and unify the 160 lb. titles....................Golovkin is Cotto's mandatory, yet the WBC did not strip Cotto for breaking their rules, WBC promised the fight against Cotto for the 160 lb. title, now the WBC has promised that Golovkin will be mandatory fight for the winner, but you can bet your money that Cotto or Alvarez will drop the title rather than fight Golovkin..........................there should be rules in boxing, the best should fight the best.................
