Yeah, FOTD is like getting MVP but not winning the Finals. It's more of a popularity contest with no meaning. Manny gets paid less, loss more fights and forever will be ranked under Floyd for all eternity and it can't be debated. Moral victories never will count. The media tried their best to side with Manny and he failed and came up with an excuse. That's poor character for a champ and someone who got FOTD. Pathetic really. In reality to avoid further diminishing, Manny should just retire. It's been nothing but a downward spiral since Margarito. He's only going to damage his legacy further if he continues.

What would you rather be, fighter of the decade or the fighter of an era?

Let me set you straight once again

Did Calzaghe become FOD for beating Roy ?

Did LL become FOD for beating a washed up Tyson ?

How does Floyd become FOD for beating him 5 yrs after that decade was up ?

Sorry but all your reaching will not and did not grant him the award of FOD that Time has passed he beat Manny 5 yrs after that that so called decade was over 2000-2010

He also retired for 2 yrs during that decade thus disqualifying him from that award !

Sorry Floyd didn't fight straight through those 3 decades and his resume isn't even worthy of fighter of the year at times but you think he was FOD :patsch:lol::lol:

Perhaps. Anyone out there that could have a huge break out fight and establish himself in the remaining 5 years of this decade?

My money is on GGG, Gonzalez, Kovalev or Ward (If he can get his **** together) half way through.

Wildcard bets are Frampton and Brook - add Errol Spence but I doubt he has time.
