No doubt but that's not related to Top Rank suing him. I can't sue you for illegally downloading movies :nut

:good See my other thread, I just finished reading all 50 pages. Sherman, Clayton and Ali acts are Federal statues, they are not for screwing around. Haymon wants to monopolize and control boxing in US.

I like that he's making fights but its never good for the sport when it's in-house all the time.

Kinda like the Cavs vs Virginia over and over again. But when Virginia finally has a good game the refs steal it from them.

So Top Rank is suing him because he violates the Ali act? They're seeking $100 million to expose that?

No, they're suing because he's illegally attempting to monopolize the game and that directly affects their business.

Ali Act's purpose is to stop monopoly in boxing. It's essential part of Arum's lawsuit which you denied without reading it.

UFC has been doing well though, I mean maybe I don't like the sport but I can't knock them on just having some basic integrity that's absolutely lacking in the sport of boxing today.

If Haymon is a smart businessman, instead of trying to cheat the fans he'll do what Dana does and just put on good fights, sort the mess with the belts and fans will be coming back in flocks, boxing is a great sport!

Pushing other promoters out of TV deals using VC warchest, and taking massive lossess doing so is actually something that can run afoul of antitrust laws.

I haven't read the whole complaint yet, I will comment more when I do but an initial once-over of the bullet points tells me that some claims likely have merit and some claims likely do not.

Its important to note that each claim does not need to stand to make a case, that's not how it works.

Right now I would say that PBC made a strategic error in pushing their way onto so many networks via time buys. Taking a loss to deny smaller promoters opportunity and revenue is looking to backfire on them.

According to lawsuit, Haymon was given 400$ + mil to 'gain' the market and establish a monopoly. He has lost 200$+ so far and operating a loss.

Once he controls the market however they will re-coup the losses and become the only 'gas station in town' so to speak.

You can sue anyone for anything. That it holds in court is a different story. But we all know Bob Arum is a shady ass intelligent lawyer. Reserving dates and then cancelling??? Really? I'm sure the venues that were left out in the cold by Haymon will want a piece of the pie Arum and ODLH are baking.

Haymon is a snake, probably has been all his life... Don't expect him to all of a sudden put on a halo and do right for others, other than himself.
