So is Dana White though, as long as boxing is better for it I don't care if he profits in all honesty or is looking out for his own self interests.

Of course that is if he realises corruption and things like that are what turned people away from the sport in the first place, if he can avod repeating these same mistakes of the past promoters.

For as big as UFC supposedly is (I haven't checked numbers on it lately) , the vast majority of the fighters sure don't make much.

Honestly if PBC was that great, they wouldn't have to shut out the competition and give away free tickets to the events.

Its not that I want PBC to fail per se, but to survive and do it legally and raise up boxing they do need to make some changes. PBC seems more interested in harming the competition than in being the most competitive which is why I cant really care for it at this time.

You're arguing something else entirely. boxingmaster said Haymon is a promoter and a manager, I said that's not why Arum is suing. Are you telling me that Arum is suing Haymon because he acts as a manager/promoter to his fighters? If not, drop it, because we're on the same page.

Good point. Do you think it's possible to legally prove that Haymon was stealing venues?

Yes that is exactly why he's suing, one of the main reasons, this gives Haymon an unfair advantage and helps him gain monopoly of market.

Haymon cut the check. He cannot do that. Game over. keep your bias away. If he would only had become a promoter before he cut the check he would have probably been fine. but as soon as he cut the checks he's done.

he shoulda had dibella or goosen cut the check like golden boy did before.

    i'm surprised at haymon's recklessness.

Are they suing for antitrust law?

Yes, the pattern of behavior is publically well established even. In civil proceedings this is often sufficient - its not like a criminal case where you have to prove something beyond reasonable doubt. The threshold is much lower.

As you noted, Arum isn't suing over Ali Act per se, but rather how alleged violations give credence to a pattern of anti-competitive behavior. Antitrust violations are the heart of this suit to be sure, anything else is, in the end, just supporting evidence for the antitrust.

However its important to note, that if an allegation is found to have standing towards the antitrust case then it is subpoena-able in discovery and any findings can be the basis for separate legl actions civil and criminal.

This suit is pretty serious business.

It's pretty much all over for the PBC.The main backers are Hedge fund boys and they don't want any spot light on themselves.the rulers will be out soon on the auditing books and AL will be told to go quietly away.the cult of the PBC was a very bad product for boxing and looked very contrived.Belts and Weights do matter.

This suit won't go anywhere it's a waste of time I'm sure Haymon will counter-sue Top Rank and GBP as well.

It will interesting to see Haymon's answer to Arum's complaint. Haymon is no hayseed operator and I can't imagine him taking any actions that were not carefully thought out.

Incorrect, having read the complaint it is pretty sound and the precedence cited is strong and relevant. TR also clearly has standing.

What a jury eventually rules in the case of no settlement is one thing, but the suit assuredly will "go somewhere" - bank on it.

I doubt it. Most of these suits never go anywhere. It will be settled out of court or thrown out. None of these guys wants the government digging around in their affairs, becasue they all have dirt.:deal
