Saying you'll fight the one they call Triple G and actually doing it are two entirely different things. Very high chance Canelo will never be the same fighter again if he takes his beating from Golovkin.

MW champ won't fight a boxer at the weight class limit of 160.

Stanley Ketchel, Harry Greb, Micky Walker, Rocky Graziano, Jake LaMotta, SRR, Gene Fulmer, Carmine Basilio, **** Tiger, Carlos Monzon, Harry Greb, Marvin Hagler are spinning in their graves, or their hotel rooms, whatever.

Relax... Canelo is only 24 years old and has one of the best Resumes. Believe it or not, Canelo is still work in progress as we have seen his improvements and normal for a fighter his age.

IMO he is just entering his prime and should be ready for Golovkin in about a year, or 3 more fights.

I agree with you, saying and doing are very different, but Canelo is a professional in the way he carries himself. He has proven to be one of the few elite to actually go out there and take fights that make sense regardless of High risk/low reward.

Canelo already fought the P4P champ and lost. The mature Canelo realized his error, taking on someone like Floyd so young... He's older now, and there is no reason to doubt him when he says he will be ready for Golovkin in the near future...It's not like he's a cherry picker, ducker, or talks out of his a$$... He's a young star with the potential of being great.

I understand the GGG fanatics' urgency considering his age, but lets consider Canelo as well. He is not his mandatory, he is not a titlist, and he still needs to fight Cotto first which makes more sense for Canelo.

I think Golovkin is great, but he shouldn't wait around for guys to come to him, he'll run the risk of getting Khanned and be left out in the rain.. I would suggest he take control of his career and fight some names...

Saw this coming with Cotto draining himself to JMW for Geale. All a play for Canelo, and if Canelo was smarter and didn't make weight for Kirkland he would have a valid argument.

It's so pathetic on either side. An idea for this would be, considering both are roughly the same size, are only one pound apart in their demands, one is the middleweight champ, why not.... Fight at 160 aka middleweight!

AHAHAHA! Canelo has fought EVERYONE at 155lbs and claims to LOVE 155lbs and make it with EASE. NOW that Cotto has ALLOWED him to weigh his GGG_hiding 155lbs, the btch is acting like he needs 156lbs??!

    Ahahahahaha! Fake ass warrior.

It's not uncommon for a fighter to take non-championship fights at a higher weightclass. There are many examples of it.

 You know what else is funny.. The lineal MW champion has never fought at MW and is requesting a lower weight limit than his Jr. MW opponent.

Everyone wants to fight GGG but not next, difference in Canelo's case is that he doesn't talk sh!t. If he said he'll be ready for Golovkin in a year or two then that's fine. He's 24 years old and he's not GGG's mandatory, he's not ranked at MW, nor does he hold any version of any MW belt.

I feel that the in 2 years Canelo will be at his peak, I would like to see him fight anyone from that point forward.

Cool, so go ahead and give me an example of a fighter having 4 fights in a row above the weightclass hes claiming, while insisting he doesn't belong to the weightclass hes had those 4 fights in all the while also challenging the champion of said division :good

Cotto should vacate the belt. He is a disgrace to the history of this division and to the great champs of the past.
