wilder outgasses old sanders after 3 rounds of clinch/run survival mode. Young sanders, a lot more of a challenge, but I think Deontay has enough to edge out a decision if he doesn't get koed early on. not sure why sanders is being mentioned, he didn't challenge even when prime. Is it because he, when old shot2shyt, destroyed Wlad?
Sanders could do the job without a doubt. His straight counters would not be fun for a windmilling fighter to face. He also has the speed to get there first. Wilder's chin isn't exactly Vitali Klitschko's, either. That said, Wilder has big power and I wouldn't rule him out either. Sanders could sometimes lose concentration and get caught. Against Wilder that would be lights out, unfortunately.
yeah not sure why sanders is being mentioned. old sanders shouldn't have been fighting wlad for the title, he was retired and shot2shyte, it was a K bros fake defence (though it went horribly wrong). old sanders was not even halftank, not an athlete fit to box a title fight, let alone a challenger.
Wilder would have a great chance and probably win. But you have to remember, Corrie's been decomposing for over a year now...
only if you follow the reasoning of the daft thread yup. which is exactly what I am questioning, so its the opposite of my point.
So you are saying it takes a THIN failed retired boxer to KO Wilder? :huh It's possible that somebody like Steve Gee could KO Wilder, but I think that you are underselling Wilder a bit. He's made a career crushing cans. In fact, I'd say he's pretty good at it.
Frankly I don't see why a thin boxer should do better than a fat boxer. Weight isn't always indicative of a gas tank.
fitness does though. old sanders wasn't matchfit, quite why he was fighting for any title is beyond me. actually its not beyond me, its because of the terrible K bro tag team "reign".
