Miguel Cotto v Saul Alvarez likely for November 21st. Who wins poll

Has anyone taking into account both these guys have no stamina ?
So they have changed the Middleweight limit. Maybe they can change this world title fight to 6 rounds .
Just a thought !

 

Canelo takes this. Only thing I'm on the fence about is whether it goes the distance(8-4 type fight for Canelo) or Cotto gets stopped.

 

I think several posters have seriously exgaratted how bad their stamina is :think

I think Cotto will take it on points, but Canelo has a solid chance to win by stoppage. I don't see much chance of Canelo winning on points as Cotto is the better technical fighter with the jab being a key weapon and he's faster of foot than Canelo. Really the only thing I question about Cotto in terms of winning this fight is his chin. He really hasn't been tagged much at all in his last three fights.

Cotto's stamina is far from terrible & Canelo has gone the distance plenty of times.

These are world class fighters. Whether you see them that way or not. :tired

 

Like stated before..

Putting a little bit of money on Canelo winning straight up, but will definitely be rooting for Cotto..

Either way, a win win situation for me.. winning 200 bucks or have Cotto win despite being this shot and retiring with glory.

Is he prime?

The guy has been shot and damaged goods since the plaster beating back in 08. Since then, he got beat up by Clottey in a fight he should of lost, beat up and knocked out by a midget, beat up and almost KO'd by Mayweather with clown gloves, then outboxed and embarrassed by Austin ****ing Trout, after this fight he contemplated retirement.

Just because he's beating up and humiliating MW's doesn't mean that's he's prime.

It just shows how much of a joke the division is and how much guts Cotto has, to compete in this level despite his setbacks.. :deal

I'm starting to lead towards Canelo by late stoppage. I keep thinking how Cotto busts up so much easier since that first MargoCheato fight but I wouldn't be shocked if he outboxed Canelo either. Tough to call. This ought to be a great fight.

 

I'm going with Cotto by points. This is definitely 50/50 though.
