Seems like an excuse to me cause you don't want to give SOG credit, lmfao.

Of course it works that way.

Slappy Joe's best wins were a split decision against a 100 year old senior citizen and an injured and timid Kessler.

We've all seen what a green, shy Ward in his first title fight did to a prime, more seasoned Kessler.

Then we saw what a more primed version of Ward did to the reigning LHW champ of the world, the man Slappy Joe feared fighting and Hopkins daddy.

Based on these facts alone, Ward by a comfortable 117-111 decision. If the fight were to take place in the UK though, I can see Slappy landing a couple of slaps on Wards shoulders and the referee stopping the fight.. :rofl

    It's happened before...

    Many times.

Come on, Rummy, the man won 2, maybe 3 rounds. The two judges who actually see, scored it 9-3 and 8-4.

Manny Steward (before the decision was read out): "This was not a hard fight to score."

You have the distinction of sharing the outlook of Adelaide Byrd !

    Pressure.

    Unrelenting pressure !

Come on, lets be serious. Ward is faster, more skilled and most likely hits harder. He has better D and has beaten better fighters in their prime. Zags was an oppurtunist. A very good fighter but a guy who never tested himself. Ward UD.

I think Ward would clearly win in a messy fight that would definitely go the distance. He can nullify Calzaghe's work rate and dominate the early to middle rounds with his accuracy and better inside game. I do think Calzaghe would come on strong in the last few rounds with Ward tiring but he'd be too far down on the cards to pull it out. Ward by 116-112 type decision.

I'd like to see Andre Ward fight someone fast before I assume he can outbox Joe Calzaghe. Even Arthur Abraham had some success against Ward, but people insist on reasoning like Ward is a Floyd Mayweather or a young Bernard Hopkins :conf

Also, Calslappy keeps slapping regardless of distances. He adopted quite well to Hopkins constant change of distance. Of course, Ward has better footwork, but it's not like he'll get in the safe zone just by holding like he did against Carl Froch.

Obviously, Calzaghe and Ward are both VERY tricky customers, so it's not possible to say for sure, but I think Ward would struggle against someone who fights outside the box, like Calzaghe does. Ward is a control freak, and there may be reasonens to why he feel the need to be.

    Joke thread.
    Calzaghe wins easy.

FFS look at both Bika fights.

Zaggers is more man than Ward, Ward is a typical US coward, Calzaghe's work rate would be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much for the pot shotting Ward.

Don't any of you who picked Ward actually know this sport?

"calslappy" had trouble landing on the amateur manfredo when peter was right in front of him and not attempting to box back.

    slap isn't good at landing.
