Oscar had Floyd until he stopped jabbing 3/4 fight. Hopkins he shouldn't have fought. Re Manny, even Freddy said pre fight when he saw Oscar so drained that it was a waste of time. Oscar was one of the best no doubt.

First off he's Mexican-American, not Mexican, and he lost some support by taking on a faded Chavez. He didn't really lose his biggest fight, against Trinidad, he got robbed in that one, everyone knows that. He also got robbed in the Mosley rematch. Loss to Hopkins, eh, that's understandable, not many welterweights get to beat a middleweight kingpin. Took on Floyd and Manny when he was basically done.

Its hilarious that youre a huge Cotto apologist, and yet make a thread on how overrated Hoya is because he lost to some great fighters, or to fighters he should have never been in the ring with in the first place (middleweights)

Now, if Hoya ever lost to someone on the level of a Trout, went 12 with Malignaggi or had a life and death struggle with a Torres... then youd have a point :good

Then again, you write paragraphs trying to excuse Cotto's loss to Trout 'oh oh that was a different cotto' 'oh styles make fights' 'oh trouts a solid fighter!'

Meanwhile knocking Hoya for losing to Hopkins and Mayweather

One of the greatest resumes of all time though if we're talking about caliber of opponents fought. Dude always came to fight too and gave many classics. Arguably beat Mosley in 2 and beat Trinidad, gave floyd a hell of a fight, was a walking scarecrow for Pacquiao.

Oscar still has better wins than Floyd, Gold medal and a better resume.

Based off that alone, Floyd is a more overrated fighter.

Oscar was a damn good fighter.. you going to ignore everything he did at 130 and 135?

Saying he beat nobody means you're just trolling.

Oscar was getting 14 mil a fight while the divisions below and above were getting 300k for title fights . He must have been doing something right.
