He destroyed Carnera, who was a bit taller than Bowe, & was not overweight ~ 270. He would be muscular even by modern standards.

I happen to like Rid**** Bowe very much and think he was terrific if an under achiever .. however to rewrite history is another thing .. Bowe did show a ton of heart and a better chin than in the amateurs where he was not just stopped but iced multiple times .. however to say a man that got hit that much , that often survives without question while dismissing Louis' creditability Joe Louis is a leap of faith ..

AS far as most polished big man , I guess if defense means nothing to you you have a case .. if polished includes the ability to slip a pounch he is far behind Lewis and both Klitschkos ..
