Oscar was one of the best of the past 30 or so years. Fought just about everyone he could have and did pretty well, overall. He showed more willingness to take on difficult opposition than Mayweather, for example, IMO.

I think he's rated about right by most sensible boxing aficionados.

I dont see him as one of the best of the last 30 years, not even close.

and like I've said numerous times, its great he fought the best but you gotta win more then you lose some. I saw him losing alot more big fights then he won

I said that in my OP dummies!! yes i thought he beat Mosley in the rematch and Trinidad, but he ran against Trinidad, thats his fault.

So he moved up fight Hopkins and lost, thats not a win for oscar just because he moved up so high.

Sturm beat the **** out of him.

    Mayweather beat him 9-3

Quartey lite him up, lucky as hell to get the win. Whitaker boxed him, lucky to get the win.

Im sorry Oscar was overrated. Good boxer, but nothing special at all

The problem with this era 's fans is that they accept ducking for money case in point Floyd Maywether ,well why did he have to fight Margacheato for 8 mil he fought Baldimor for a similar amount !

Floyd is not obligated to fight this guy ,he gets paid well to fight the Gurrero's of the world so acceptable ..Then add the fact that he's undefeated and what do you get ? A really true overrated boxer !

After Castillo Floyd always avoided prime fighters that were good. Except for Hatton.

But people buy his fights anyways. So he has no icentive to fight real badass guys.

THE definition of a Flo.mo right there. That being said i really dont see this with any other fan bases as much as with floyds. Manny fans are pretty fanatical but they dont tear other fighters down to build theres up. Not saying all but most dont atleast not to the level of Flo.mos. Although rare ive found a few respectable and non delusional floyd fans.

And Hatton was the smaller guy even though he was prime. The op is a troll. does floyd go undefeated through Oscars resume? No way! Does oscar go through floyds? EASILY! Imo Oscar,Moseley,Tito and Manny go through Floyd resume undefeated. Yeah im including Marquez losing to manny in a one fight scenario especially seeing as manny did win the first. If floyd is 48-0 with 27 kos i think someone like Tito would problably have an insane ko% with that resume maybe 44kos.

Wrong. Ok so Floyd wouldn't be undefeated through Oscar's resume only because he has no business @160. But Oscar lost to to Pac @147 (the weight that Floyd beat Pac) and Floyd was 38. Does a 38 year old Oscar beat Pac @147 I don't think so. Any version of Moseley always beats Oscar. And Oscar had very few fights @130 I think he would lose at least once against Floyds 130 competition because Oscar was very weight drained @130.
