If Golovkin or cleared out the Super Six he would be worshipped as a boxing GOD.

Now everyone wants Golovkin to fight Froch. Froch is considered a strong unstoppable legend of a fighter. A respect I have always shown him, but many posters didn't feel that way when Ward gave him a proper spanking in Jersey with a UD and one judge giving him 118-110.
We know that Andre Dirrell was robbed in England after outboxing Froch in the same fashion that Ward did. So Ward will never set foot in the land of fraud score cards.

Now the point is if Gennady beat Froch, then Kessler, Dawson, Bika, Green, and Abraham. He would be worshipped and put on top of Muhammad Ali himself in the eyes of the MAJORITY public and HBO.
But unfortunately Andre Ward did it so it is no big deal.

The same if he gets a shot at Cotto and Canelo and wins. He would be praised but Mayweather did it already so it doesn't matter right now until Triple Hype does it. Then he would be instant Super Saiyan ATG HOF status with wins over 33 nobodies and 1 "HOF that is a spineless quitter in some peoples eyes" and someone that was a "GREEN flat footed plodder" 3 fights ago.

 

I can't stand ward but wins over Froch and Kessler are very legit.

If GGG won and cleared out the s6 tournament the same fashion Ward did, the fans would praise him as a literal God.

Too bad GGG is comfortable fighting bums though.

 

Froch and Kessler are B level boxers.The rest are cans.Super Middleweight became one of boxing weakest divisions when Calzaghe retired.

 

Ward is a top5 p4p and I'd pick him over GGG. Who's denying that? He's not getting as much hype as GGG because he's not as spectacular and as avoided as GGG, also has been inactive.

Why do Andre Ward fans act like Bika is a good win?

I never understood it, and then when they talk about Calzaghe or Bute who beat him in a far more impressive manner they always seem to forget about it.

Green I'm not even going to talk about it.

Abraham has not impressed in the SMW division, fair enough it's an okay win but really nothing great.

Kessler and Froch wins are the two genuinely good wins that he has that are above anything Golovkin has done..... and he gets credit, Ward was on p4p #2 for the longest time, many people think he's as good as Floyd, if Golovkin beat them (and one thing as well, moving up a division to beat these same fighters would be more impressive) would gain him pretty much the same accolades.

 

Nobody said either was a good win but those were the guys in the Super 6.. That's all...

 

Ward, He's very good but I've even seen nutcases say he would beat kovalev.

Kovalev is a phenom. Trust me.

It can't happen. Kovalev is too strong and unforgiving. He makes Kessler and froch like babies...

 

I'm pretty sure when he beats Kovalev people will try to degrade the win any way possible.

 

He won't beat kovalev. But if he does he goes p4p number 1.

What if kovalev brutalises him 5 rounds. Will he have beaten a small man?
