    Even though you stated...

... you can't find a round out of those six that you would score for Floyd.

    Fair enough.

And so, even though you also stated...

    I don't suppose you'll list 20 greater names since 1985 ?

Oscar was the "only" fighter to win the gold medal for America back in 1992......................he was good. Oscar was cheated out of some decisions, such as his fight with Tito, two fights with Mosley, and he beat Void, but Void's judges gave the fight to him by split decision, although he knocked Void's head back like a speed bag when he used his jab...............

I honestly forgot that Oscar obliterates Hernandez.

But Floyd fans are always like omg great win for Floyd.

That's the majority of Floyd's fights with the exception of Corralas Floyd usually fights guys already beaten..Take Gatti for example Floyd fans see that as a master class yet everyone and their mother had already beat Gatti.

Bob Arum kept the young Oscar De La Hoya away from Azumah Nelson which shows that he is no fool. Oscar is good but clearly overrated. I happen to think he lost both Trinidad and the Moseley 2 fight.

It really all depends on how you rate DLH.

IMO, he's a first ballot hall of famer but falls short of being considered an ATG.

Oscar could fight. He lost some of his biggest fights, tho, and that will always be the knock on him. Duran was part of the Fab Four, was 1-3 against them and got KTFO in the process. Still great. True, he did a helluva lot before the 80s at lightweight but we still look at those Fab Four fights as some of his biggest. But was Oscar great? I don't think so. Overrated? Not by a long shot. Anyone standing across the ring from him knew that he came to fight and it wasn't going to be an easy night. If we were to ask his opponents (the true judges of this question) if he was overrated, I think they would say, "No."

i never really hear anyone rate Oscar that high honestly I think we give him the props and respect he gets because he did fight everyone he could and gave us a number of good competitive fights.

    I scored 2 3 4 6 7 and 8 for Oscar and the rest for Floyd, thus, a draw.

One judge scored it 7 -5 for Oscar, presumably giving him 12.

I gave Floyd the last four.

Also, I thought the decision of SD for Floyd was fitting as he won his rounds a bit more decisively than Oscar won his.

If it had gone to the cards after 10, we would have one judge for Floyd, one for Oscar and one even.

Oscar was doing fine, but he lost the fight in the last two rounds.

Interestingly, had Jerry Roth given round 12 to Oscar, as the two other judges did, the result would have been a draw.

All in all, a fair result, but MUCH closer than many seem to remember it.

Yes he let both fights. He also lost the Whittaker and Felx Sturm fight. Some would argue he lost Quartey fight too.
