His son Trey Lippe ( Morrison ) is 8-0 with 8 Ko's. Trey has natural power and speed. In many ways looks like a carbon copy of his father. Where they differ is Trey is starting to use defense. IMO, he's ahead of where his father was at the same point in their career. Tommy would have been proud.
Funny how after Morrison 2x tested positive for HIV in 1996, those same Rednecks in Oklahoma ran him out of town, tore down billboards with his name on them, disowned him, and burned down his house.. Kind of curious how and why would you build a memorial for a dude, who was once married to 2 women at the same time, was in Prison several times for multiple felonies, gun charges, meth, etc, couldn't admit he was Hiv positive, although it was painfully obvious he was and was just a basic thug.. He was an exciting fighter though:think
He deserves it. He was a fantastic fighter and a great watch on TV, He always came to fight and gave it his all. He is indeed famous.
The memorial should also include STD prevention tips and condoms. Morrison's went threw women like a pack of gum daily according to those who knew him well.
Direct me to some non-white mediocre sportsmen who committed a slew of petty crimes spanning nearly their entire lives who went to the grave as public proponents of the non-existence of AIDS AND had public memorials erected in their honor.
I don't care if someone erects a monument honoring Joe Frazier, or even a Bert Cooper. The point of honoring someone after their death is never a bad thing, and considering how great Tommy was to the Sport, he deserves it. If the people want to honor them, I have no issue with it. Only anti whites, or racist people with axes to grind against white people, could find fault in this.
"Will it be built out of AIDS, used heroin needles, and a paper maché of his DUI citations? No, bronze, how boringly traditional. But he was six foot. Why is the statue only three feet tall? Are they melting down the brass from all his confiscated weapons to make it? You say this is going to be in a school?":think
