I actually think that Tucker might have had the style/tools to beat Bowe.

Tucker did okay against Douglas. I think it would look more like than the Tyson fight, with Bowe obviously standing at the end of 12.

Tucker was only ever stopped way past his prime.

He fought both a prime Tyson and a prime Lewis and was stopped by neither, the only other guy who fought both and was stopped by neither of them was Holyfield.

If anyone is overrated its Bowe.

Bowe struggled with Hide, Biggs, Tubbs, Thomas, Golota and Mathis.

Oh and at least Tucker actually fought Lewis :good

Fantastic boxing match. An 80s Tucker should edge it.

Dosen't matter if Tucker was stopped past his prime or not, he still made the decision to fight on past his best years that's on him:deal

Bowe didn't struggle against Hide it was a total one sided ass kicking, the same Hide who BTW KO'D Tucker, and from what i recall his win over Biggs was 1 sided too..

Yea Bowe chickened out against Lewis i give you that, i was glad Tucker stepped up to the plate even thou he had no chance to win that fight he was way over his head..

Sorry i didn't see anything special Tucker did at all, Douglas screwed himself by quitting in that fight, because he was winning..

Bonecrusher, Tillis and crackhead Green went the distance with prime Tyson too, so what?? Tyson was just an ordinary fighter after the 8th round, he never had stamina..

Bowe turned on the heat physically if he was getting outclassed technically or outboxed. Tyson called Tucker's jab the best he faced, interesting since Mike fought Pinky and Truth (short fight though).

Tucker was losing most of that fight until Douglas quit late, something that he was known for doing. Tony was a decent fighter but never beat anyone better than fringe. His stock value in the Douglas victory only went up years later due to Buster's eventual upset over Tyson. but that doesn't change Douglas's status at the time.

I'd favour Bowe, but Tucker honestly could make life pretty tough for him. The big thing is does Tucker believe enough in himself to win?
He gave a pretty good Tyson and a pretty good Lewis tough fights...no reason to think that Bowe does any better than those two did.
Again, I'd favour Bowe but Tucker does have a decent shot here. He was at least as good as Tubbs and Tubbs have Bowe hell.

not in this case. Both Tyson and Douglas were different men in 1990 than they were in 1987. And Douglas was an IBF overanked nobody.. Everybody else him near the bottom of their top 10 and most of the boxing public had never heard of him. Tucker struggled like hell to get that win and might even have lost had Douglas stuck to his guns. Tucker never beat anyone better than fringe.

I think he was the same guy with slightly worse conditioning. I saw the fight.

Tucker has the tools to upset or make it close.

The point still stands, at his best, nobody stopped him.

Bowe was out on his feet against Hide, these are Bowes own words not mine!

And yes Bowe did struggle because he was fat, out of shape and simply couldnt catch the much smaller faster Hide. I know Tyson and Lewis would have got Hide out of there within the first 2 rounds.

Chicken Bowe. Who did he defend his titles against? Jesse Ferguson? Mike Dokes?

Your missing the point, between the two of them Tyson and Lewis stopped Ruddock, Bruno, Golota, Botha and Biggs. Neither of them were able to stop Tucker and both of them were in their primes when they fought him.

He must have had some quality to him to have achieved that because the only other guy who fought both and was stopped by neither was Holyfield and remember Tucker fought much better versions of both as well.
And the point still stands Bowe struggled against every single decent fighter he fought.
