i truly believe if fury wins the first 3 rounds he will become the new heavyweight champion of the world, at some point they will trade but if he can withstand the odd round of punishment and remain composed I think he outboxes 39 year old wlad and if it turns into a brawl wlad has not met anyone in years with the inside game of fury, if he imposes his height and weight advantage early I think with his stamina in the latter rounds he will win and maybe even stop him, I know he talks a lot of *******s but you cant deny he is a good boxer and improving with every fight, if anyone is going to beat him fury will
Fury's chin will be his downfall, Wlad hits too hard for him, it will be a highlight reel KO for Wlad.
I would obviously make Klitschko favourite but to be fair to Fury I would give him better chance than the vast majority of opponents Klitschko has boxed in the last decade.
Jesus christ... STEVEN CUNNINGHAM FLATTENED Tyson. Flattened him. Wlad will hurt him, badly. Tyson's prep for a fight like this (throughout his career) has been completely wrong! Chisora? Small. Cunningham? Small. Blown-up CW. Johnson? Same. Tyson hasn't fought a HW as big or nearly as big as he, a HW that hits hard, can take a shot etc. Wlad is going to f*cking DESTORY Fury. Tyson will get hospitalised so badly in this one. Wlad BULLIED Povetkin, dealt with Haye's speed, LEVELLED Pulev - He's lesser wins are better than Fury. Tyson won't see round 5 if Wlad is in the mood. You are talking about a man that ducked DAVID PRICE! Wlad is going to annihilate him.
This has the making of the most boring HW fight ever. Two plodding jabbing heavyweights neither unwilling to bring the fight to the other and too cautious to risk doing so. You will only beat Klit by putting it on him big time but be able to take one on the way in.
all this knocked over by Cunningham rubbish the man is a pro boxer he caught someone flush on the chin and he went over shock horror you tool,,, didn't he get up and completely bully Cunningham before knocking him out, fury hits hard and wlad's chin is worse in my opinion
It's all very well having a good inside game but that becomes useless if you can't find a way in! Klitschko is a master of distance, his jab and footwork are almost nailed down to a tee. Furys defence is awful, fighters think they have a good game plan ready for vlad but it always goes out the window once that stinging jab lands. Vlads jab/big right will be there all day and the short left hook he put pulev away with will also land. Furys height and reach, inside fighting and southpaw switch may give vlad food for thought in the 1st round perhaps but that'll be it. I honestly can't see fury getting past 3 rounds and that's being generous. I expect fury to touch the canvas, get up and try throwing the kitchen sink at vlad in anger only to get dropped and stopped.
Fair play to Fury when I watched him get gifted a decision against John McDermott after getting beat up for the first 5 rounds I never thought he'd get this far. Although, as people have already said I reckon Wlad just hits far too hard. He will land at some point and when he does it's curtains. Left hook to finish Fury in 5th or 6th round.
If Tyson's prep is flawed for fighting smaller men, surely the same applies to Wlad's victims that you list. Who was the last similar size fighter Wlad beat, Thompson?
Yup - this is the way I see it. I don't think Klitchko will be hanging about in this one either. Not the usual "jab jab grab" best suited to smaller, speedy fighters. I think Klitchko will try to get Tyson out of there at the first sign of wobble.
