Which of you brave souls will agree to a ban bet with me? If you lose, you're gone for good, vice versa for me. If you're a paedo nonce like Brixton Bomber, please do not apply.
Na I cant see it. If Martinez had better footwork maybe ... But he will be right there for Quigg to tee off on and Quigg will be too strong for him .... I would think that Quigg stops him late on rnd 9 onwards. Wouldnt be the biggest upset tho. You are usaully in a pain in the erchie on here Sol but ur last sentence made me laugh ill be honest
However as Len said I also wouldnt be suprised to see Quigg drop him with body shots very early in the fight but favour a late stoppage. I also agree He very may well look more impressive than Frampton doing it due to his style .... both Kiko and Quigg fight similar with Quigg being stronger and having a better variety of punch and defo can work the guts better than Kiko can. Quigg will struggle with those who fight on the back foot not pressure fighters unless they happnen to be monsters and there is no pressure fighters at the weight that have the size or quality that Quigg has
Quigg wins this on points, I cant see him doing a better job than Frampton as I think Quigg will go looking for him too much and isn't as good a boxer as Frampton but he is a more compact fighter who makes very little mistakes hence why I don't see Martinez beating him.
I think Martinez is pretty much finished now tbh - I'm expecting Quigg to do a demolition job on him. Quigg stops him in 9
Based on what ? Martinez is only 29 years of age. Has only lost two fights in the last 6 years, which were both against Frampton. And its not much more than 12 months since he went to Japan and KTFO Hasegawa. Only people i'd expect to come out with stuff like this is die hard Frampton fans. Quigg will do a number on Martinez, make no bones about it.
He took a pretty bad pasting off Frampton last time out- and IMO didn't look to great balance wise. I think Quigg would beat him either way so I'm not looking to diminish Scott's expected victory or anything like that.
if you remember the fights he had with munroe his balance wasnt great then either tbh. i think he is not the best technical fighter but trains hard and isnt scared to have a go!!
Good post. Martinez's willingness to come forward, and refusal to back off when hurt will be his undoing against Quigg. Frampton was happy to keep some distance between himself and Kiko, he'd then exploit any openings when they presented themselves, and unload the big shots. Quigg will be looking to land big shots right from the get go. It will be entertaining while it lasts.
Someone get an alt made to challenge him to this, would be hilarious if the former world champ beat the fake one
Nobodys going to make a ban bet with you Solaris. They dont need to. You spend most of the time banned anyway.
I give Martinez a good shot of KO'ing Quigg, i'll do a month or 2 months ban bet if you want, not lifetime though, seems too much.
