    Lazarus,

    Find another thread mate.

I've just realised who this clown is.

You are trying to debate with a moron of the highest order.

There's no point in continuing with it.

2.......Hopkins was 22-1 with two USBA title fights. Roy was 21-0 with one WBC intercontinental title fight. Pointless argument.

I could see a Tyson -Spinks type of KO here.

Or even a Tyson-Seldon type of KO with Golovkin missing a punch and the wind from that punch shattering Jones glass jaw.

I like GGG and want him to be successful by cleaning out the Middles and then go up and challenge the best of the SMWs. He is exciting and really good for boxing. But when people come out with re****ed stuff like him sparking a prime RJJ out when fellow greats Toney and Hopkins struggled to, puts you off the boxer.

Hopkins in his own words has called RJJ an amazing talent.

Jones has one of the worst Chins ever for a supposed ATG.

Precisely. The argument is laughably pointless.

Two USBA title fights gets Hopkins considered an ATG because he eventually went on the greatness years after the fact?

Hopkins-Jones was a decent sized, not huge, fight at the time. 8500 attendance, and HBO paid $1.4 mil total for it. The hype came solely from it being Roys first title shot. Hopkins hadn't beaten any top 10 guys going into it and needed two shots to beat Mercado 2 years later.

It cracks me up every time people try to act like Hopkins was prime, let alone an ATG, against Jones in 93. I don't think I've ever seen a win get more credit for what, irrelevantly, happened years later.

Hopkins was still a good fighter back then at 28. And Roy had a fractured hand.

Has GGG beaten anyone as good as even that version of Hopkins?

    What are GGG's best wins?

Roided Jones could probably avoid GGG for 2 rounds, with VADA testing he would pull out of the fight or get KO'd at the weigh in.
