Could Douglas duplicate his tremendous upset of an unmotivated Tyson ? Or does Joe get to him eventually?

It depends if Douglas could match what he did with his jab in the first three rounds versus Tyson or not. My guess is not, but you never know, Douglas was something else that night.

You've got to be kidding - if an unbeaten muhammad ali cant beat Joe that night then Tokyo Douglas isn't going to either

Douglas fought a damn good fight that night. He was a complete fighter. That would have been a hell of a fight because Joe was relentless and in terrific shape. Id hate to have to pick a winner. My gut says Joe but Douglas was really a great fighter that one night of his life.

    In your dreams....

Frazier would never take the shots Tyson took until the KO......for one night Douglas was a excellent fighter, movement, combos, stamina, jab , chin....Frazier never fought a 235 pound talented 6.3 ' fighter in his life and against the ONLY modern sized upper echelon Heavyweight with some pop he was bounced around like a ping pong ball.

Frazier is 1-4 in his signature fights, two time blown out in complete uncompetitive fashion by a crude slugger who feasted on tomatoe cans until his shot at Fraziers title.

No Ali exile no Frazier champion ship belt and he would barely be a foot note.

BTW, he would beat the Vegas/MGM Douglas, lol, almost anyone with a pulse would.

This thread is ridiculous - Tokyo Douglas is suddenly better than the GOAT!

Frazier at his best ate boxers up and no one did it better. I'd give Tokyo Douglas a better chance against Toledo Dempsey. Buster should just change his name to Tokyo Douglas ffs it's like he's a mythical character.

    Frazier would have stuffed him.

I accept that Douglas put on an incredible performance against Tyson, but lets face it, Tyson more than met him in the middle.

A focused all time great, on top of their game, is too much for any version of Douglas.

Douglas would probably start out faster, but Frazier would be dishing out return fire from the opening bell, and I'm not at all convinced that Douglas can fight a tough, hard fight from the get-go and win that mental marathon against a demon like Frazier.

So Frazier, and I would bet the house. Joe ate plenty of leather early in the FOTC, never stopped forcing the fight, and I don't think any version of Douglas can handle him.

Sure, like your buddy Pax would kill Mayweather.....predictions are like XXXholes, everyone has one.

Are Foreman's glancing blows harder that a flush Douglas shot....because Frazier could not even handle those glancing hits...do you believe that Frazier, who would get mad if you did not hit him and after almost every fight his face looked like a moon crater would avoid all the flush full leverage shots Douglas nailed Tyson with ? Are you convinced that 205 pound Frazier has a better chin than Tyson ? Tyson hit the deck for the first time against Douglas in his career....I let you figure out how many times frazier hit the deck against ham and eggers until he ran into Foreman.

In their reasonable "prime " frazier was stopped F O U R times out of five signature fights......Tyson was stopped T W I C E against a one hit wonder who put everything together for one night only and after prison when he was 50/50 at best against a ATG.
