Wlad vThe 80's Heavies?

A much improved Wlad hammered peter in the rematch in 2010. Again I said Wlad did not reach his prime until 2007. You continue to bring up fights pre 2007, why?

Bowe Lewis Tyson. I don't think you realize, Wlad IS the fire. Do you understand he is 6'6 250lb and is possibly the hardest hitter of all time(words from steward himself), he has monster power with either hand. Combine that with an ATG left jab. You think Tyson and Bowe is going to want to take flush right hands? No way.

Lewis has the length ring smarts power to match Wlad on the outside, that's a really good fight

 

Holmes got dropped hard by Snipes and Shavers, and was KO'd by Tyson and beaten by Spinks and dropped by Keven Issac. Vlad is a careful boxer/puncher and his right hand would find a Home on Holmes and I wouldn't call Holmes a pig but he would fly across the ring not as quick as he did vs Tyson but just as dramatic....Haye fought a very defensive fight and Haye can punch a lot harder than Larry so Vlad fought him smart and dominated without taking extra risk.

 

haye only KO'ed washed up cannon fodder at Heavy.....his power is average at best and he needed a accumulation of punches to stop those never beens, comparing Haye to Holmes is either pure bias or ignorance but possible both for a certified midget Marciano nut hugger.

 

LOL, what fire, he stinks the joint out with his safety first style....again he was taken the distance by a fuggin janitor in his last fight.

Time machine, Berbick Tyson against current WK the torch would be passed.

Steward talked a lot of shid, WK is like Hearns or Lewis powerful but chinney and once the fire was brought to them there chin betrsayed them....Kronk medicine is to keep everybody out but once they are in Kronk medicine no good anymore, cant train a mediocre chin against a skilled elite puncher.

 

different styles different weaknesses, I do not rate Haye as an all time great next to Holmes but Haye is not someone you go after recklessly, he has dangerous power =Ruiz, Valuev, Chisora,etc. I do respect Marciano as a great fighter and I respect Holmes but his weakness was right hands and other than Tyson and the one punch Shavers the right hand he would see from Vlad would be consistent and extremely accurate and powerful and the right would be set up by Vlads rocket jab.....I do not see anyone beating Vlad from the 80's

I saw you were biased against Marciano in an earlier post and were nut-hugging Tucker who was beaten by the 5'11 no power Norris

 

You got me, Tucker after a long hiatus plus rehab from coke addiction got beat, yeah, you also forgot to mention that Berbick beat Ali.

you would not go thru haye "reckless" lol, Tyson would wax that fraud in ONE round.

BTW what happened to that powerful right and "Rocket" jab against the part time boxer with no amateur degree in WK's last fight ? He even had a point deduction for clinching against that tomatoe can......but he beat everybody from the 80's, sure buddy, but I have to give you this, you cannot be beat for comical relief.

 

Wlad will go down in the history books as better Than tony tucker whether you like it or not

The only one I'd pick to beat him would be Larry Holmes. Vlad would beat the rest of them, including Tyson.

 

Of course WK is leap and bounds above Tucker but the Ring means shid, same idiots crowned Pax "Fighter of the decade"....Jennings is like the Alex Stewart or Phil Jackons of yesterdays world aka a stiff.

 

Vlad fought a smart fight against a defensive fighter looking for openings why take unnecessary risks if you are dominating....talk about comic relief Tony Tucker....remember also that Vlad is almost 40

Haye is a bit more talented than you give him credit for and he boxed well defensively against Vlad and did a bit of both vs Chisora

I think Haye beats Buster Douglas 9 out of 10 times

 

Povetkin was better than Peter and absolutely willing.

 

The only legitimate threat Haye fought was WK and he ran for his life or kneeing to get to WK's schmeckel....Barret, a ancient Ruiz and the definition of a journey man Chisora are hardly the murderes row including Valuev, the missing link. More than likely Douglas beats the breaks off those pretenders without breaking a sweat.......Douglas fought at least one terrific fight (Tyson) and one great fight against McCall............Haye does not have anything close on his record except running his mouth and a bruised toe.

 

LOL was so willing that he bull rushed into the clinch with no skills over and over again.....that shows you right there what talent the Bear got...none

 

you are rating boxers on how entertaining they are, thus you hate vlad because he "stinks the joint out",,, I agree with you, he is a boring fighter, there is no doubt, but lets be unbiased, the guy has been very effective the last 10 years. Don't dismiss him just because he uses boring strategy to be successful. That's not vlad's fault, its just what is effective.

 

that's simply a small part of what took place when intentionally not taking into account how good Wlado is at clinching with strength over the course of a entire fight. Yes its boring as heck, I agree, but Wlado's inside game is clinching and his outside game is very good.
