Freddo had ***** apparently. He just never recovered from the stress of seeing his father shot, and it all went downhill from there.

Fredo was played by John Canizales, a legendary actor who died too soon.

FP closely resembles Bobby Cannavale, a decent actor, currently living.

    COINCIDENCE!?? :yikes

Me,too_Once I interviewed him in his native city Kralupy nad Vltava near Prague.Very nice chap.He cant speak any foreign language, and has really no clue how the pro business works. When we had a long chat inside a local restaurant there all the other guests there stopped to talk to each other and listend to our conversation as everyone knows him in his home city.I had a translator with me as my czech was good but far from perfect. However,my translator was female and didnt know anything about boxing.
I very often only talked czech to him,but.............................what an embarrasment.........all of a sudden all the other guests were laughing their asses off as I said to him "ty lyzis velmi dobre" instead of "ty lyzes velmi dobre".
Well,he said to me that my czech was quite good.I replied that he lies quite well. However,I mixed up the pronuciation of that word and said to him that he sucks(a ****) quite well instead of you lie quite well.
Damn! I will never forget that moment in my entire life.Suda had a good sense of humour and didnt knock me down then.Meet him again when he controversely lost to Enid Licina in Germany's capital Berlin.
Tough honest Czech warrior with no clue about the world outside the czech republic and th world of pro boxing.

:rofl Wow, quite a world of difference in just a vowel.

I have always been pretty confident in my Czech and was able to communicate without resorting to English in most of my time in Prague and Kutná Hora (vacationed there in 2005 and 2011, for a couple weeks each) but that story has me 2nd-guessing myself and wondering if anything I said ever gave offense. :nonono

...and yeah, Lubos was never cut out to succeed even at Euro level, but he is among the best guys the CR has produced in recent memory. Probably top 5ish p4p in the country, in the mix with a bunch of interchangeable guys some distance behind Konečný (who is essentially their Mayweather of the last generation)

Haha! Czech is a very trick language, isnt it! To be honest when I lived there I never met a western foreigner who was able to speak czech more or less fluently. I met quite a lot of Ukranians and Poles who spoke czech almost flawlessly, but they had lived there quite a long time and even for them it had been bloody tough to reach that level.
I didnt live there that long and since then I have slowly forgotten my once good knowledge of czech.
Just too much work to maintain my once good command of czech! True pity as I once put so much energy in it.
I guess it must have been hell to you as an english native speaker to learn that develish language.
By the way, mate, when I was in Poland a few years ago-during summer time-I ordered a dark beer in restaurant where nobody spoke German or English, and nodoby wanted to speak Russian.I ordered my beer in czech:
Chtel bych jedno tmave pivo! Well,Polish and Czech are quite close to each other-like Frisian/Dutch and English-nah! even closer.
However, instead of a cold dark beer I got a hot light beer from the microwave. My mistake as I didnt make use of the word:cerny-cerne pivo-black beer.I used the czech word for dark beer. The Poles misunderstood that word and gave me a hot beer instead.Haha! I was totally flabbergusted when having a hot beer in front of me while sweating with about 30 degrees plus and plenty of sun shine.
Bloody trick language, the czech one, isnt it!

I know you're a big fan of Chagaev, he definitely cracks the top 10 if he gets into shape, and hooks up with a good team.

Yeah, my point there was to remind him that Klitschko hasn't retired yet, and in no scenario does Chavez beat Klitschko.

chagaev is the poster boy for over rated
in 17 years as a pro his biggest win was over john ruiz
his 2 toughest opponents he lost
so....in a nut shell, KO the hopeless , lose to the living
    and repeat

There really isnt anyone aside Povetkin or Wlad that can comfortably defeat Ruslan. Ruslan use to be top 3 in the rankings until he fell off the map with the Wlad fight. There really is no shame in losing to Povetkin or Wlad.

His best W is Valuev. (2-0 against Ruiz, don't forget - undefeated when Chagaev fought him)

Then add Ruiz, Oquendo, Meehan, Vyrchys, Walker, Sprott, Tank Williams, Skelton, Drumond & Calloway (twice, including his 6th pro bout, Calloway's 47th) and Chagaev has posted a solid enough line of W's. None of them outstanding, but enough of the "halfway decent" ilk beaten to make you wonder how things might have gone without the Hep C interfering with his prime.
