    Modern Cruisers rehydrate at 210-215.

Povetkin got better after he ditched Atlas, anyway.

    :D:lol::lol::lol::D

That was my good laugh for the morning. Thanks man!

Regarding the fight, Wladimir would have to punch himself in the chin to lose this one. Way, way faster and more technical than old Foreman, he'd beat a tattoo of welts into the older man until winning a wide UD or referee stoppage. Foreman would have the power to catch him with something big, but I wouldn't bet on it. Younger Wlad might blow himself out and gas and lose a la Puritty ... but younger Wlad might just also hospitalize old Foreman.

Only you would look at the defence of a prime Mike Tyson and still would convince yourself Wlad is the greatest HW defensive artist ever:tired

Alex Stewart was a very fast and agile boxer yet was near blown into oblivion by Foreman in the second round.
The savage knock downs he took would have put Wlad out. And Wlad cannot dance around the ring so your Alex Stewart is a moot point.

Shultz fought Foreman when he was near 50. Wlad beats Foreman from 92/3 onwards
But 88-92 Foreman touches Wlad and sends him into fits.
Wla cannot handle that ferocious power.

He would have to box the fight of his life , keeping distance from Geroge for the full 3 mins of every round. Meaning he's moving and punching non stop.
The Brewster fight proved he is unable to maintain activity for the entirety of whole rounds . He was done as soon as Brewster began touching him and making him work of the back foot.

Its simply cachet to say Wlad would beat old Foreman. Nothing more.

No logical or sane argument can be made for a guy beating Foreman who went life and death with Sam Peter and had to cheat and grapple him in close during the rematch.

I sometimes wonder if Dino still has the original Roman lead plumbing supplying water to his house. This Klitschko hatred is simply irrational.

History will remember Wlad as one of the greatest HW champions to walk the earth, regardless of what he does from here on out. (Boring style notwithstanding).

Yet here's Dino who has convinced himself that OLD Foreman is the guy to settle Wladimir's hash. :nut :nut :nut

    It is to laugh. :-(

Here's another thought. Sam Peter would very likely have sat OLD Foreman on his ass as well.

The Peter who was almost knocked out in the first round against journeyman MaCline?
The Peter who couldn't KO Toney and Eddie Chambers??

What other Wlad victim beats Foreman?

    Make me laugh?

fat sam peter who cant last five rounds withoutn emptying his gas tank? the mans not even a credible athlete much less a top boxer.

SAM Peter wouldnt get in the top ten during foremans reign, his opponents would simply wait for him to gass, and then terminate him. Peter would be WAY too easy for top boxers, conditioned to fight an hour, back then, an easy game plan that would work every time.

And you think he'd beat foreman?? ha.

Wlad is great, don't get me wrong and he deserves ridiculous credit for his longevity and dedication to the sport, but the fact he's 39, 6'6 and 245 lbs and more than likely the fleetest of foot in the top 10, maybe top 20 minus Cunningham does say something about the state of the division though.

Im not hating on Wlad. I think Foreman II is extremely underrated.

From 88-92 he would blow todays division wide open if he was around.

Since Lewis , i would only take Vitali Klitschko to beat him. After George after 94 gets beaten by Wlad.

Foreman shook guys down to their boots just by touching them. The reaction just by getting hit by a jab wasn't normal.

His power and ability to blow you open with just the jab was scary.

Show me the Wlad performance that makes him favourite against Foreman. Ive yet to hear it.

Prime , ripped , athletic Everet Martin was floored and almost stopped by Geroge in the 5th.

10 years later Wlad couldn't even hurt a grossly , fat and out shape Martin.

Foreman 2 was powerful. I don't deny that. He had a good beard. He was difficult to hit clean if he employed that cross-armed defence.

But let's not get carried away. :nono He was as slow as molasses, and the only reason that he didn't gas was because he threw so few punches and was so slow. Klitschko could pretty much jab him to death while running little risk to himself. Pierre Coetzer gave him a good run for his money while it lasted and while Pierre was solid, he was light-hitting and cut easily. Somebody like Wlad would ruin old Foreman.

This has to be the dumbest post ive ever read in the classic. Why do i have to read these things?

Foreman threw more punches per round than Wlad. He was a relentless stalker , often throwing 8 punch combinations at guys.

He didn't gas because of mind-set and fearlessness. Boxing is 99% mental and Foreman went in to destroy. He had no worry of what came back at him and that composure carried him through rounds with a sustainable work- rate.

And he was anything bus 'slow as molasses'

There is a massive difference in being fleet of foot and being slow as a snail. Foreman was neither.
He didn't need to be fast on his feet because he some of the greatest ring cutting abilities of any HW.
His footwork and jab put guys exactly where he wanted them. He would close Wlad down without fail.
Don't respond to this post. Everything you ever type is an atrocity.

You drop Wlad at any point in history, and its going to be hard to find a career heavy with lighter feet.

    Ali, Tyson, Dempsey....not many more.
