    I think your thread title is miswording it a bit.

    From what I gathered, he'd like FLoyd to retire now and come back whenever he wants to fight lower tier fighters.

    I don't really understand the logic behind what Sr says, but it's his opinion.

    Is this all it ever boils down to? How about the division has some young, hot talents that Floyd could face instead?

    Floyd schools all of that "young talent". We all know this. It does very little for his legacy. This is his last fight and it's on his terms. End of story.

    What's every other fighter's excuse?

    The point he's making is that if this mindset is how Mayweather is thinking, he's slipping mentally and even against a Berto, if you're not motivated you might just find yourself on the canvas even if you're Floyd Mayweather. Personally I feel there's more chance of the sun knocking on your door and asking you for a pint of milk than him giving anything less than 1000% in a training camp but he's warning his son not to start lowering his standards... if he somehow picks Berto, well I'd be worried because something would have left the guy.

    he can take an easy fight if he wants. i feel after taking down pacquiao the boogey man there is no one else who can beat this man in his weight class

    if he takes on a berto

    . should not be ppv

    . he should give up his 154 belts

    .he should go for the kill and take chances if he completely has him figured out as floyd often does by the middle rounds
