Is there anything boxing fans can do to help make this happen? Donations? Can you do us the favor and tell us at this forum what this monument to Tommy stands for... In your eyes... And how the community feels about it.

There is no such thing as white privilege.

But, I CAN name many privileges given to Just American Indians, Blacks, Hispanics and well...... every other race but White.

I can give them names, THE laws, the orders, the documents... but There is NO white Privilege. PERIOD

Yes it is a loss not only for me but also for the people that loved him all over the world.

The American Boxing Association is raising the funds for Tommy's memorial. They are on Facebook.
In my eyes?....it's somewhere fans and friends and family can go to pay their respect...in honors a hometown hero....and usually heroes are never welcomed in their hometown...Jay is welcoming him back with open arms.
The "haters" on this site...perhaps don't understand FORGIVENESS...COURAGE...LOVE...PEACE...and turning your life around....that's what this memorial means to me and I will fight those that try and ruin his legacy.

It will be made of bronze.
No "aids"...no "needles"...and no "paper mache of any dui citations" ...no "brass from any confiscated weapons".

If each of them gave me their names...IP ADDRESSES....contact information I would be very happy to meet them face to face...perhaps even subpoena them...and let's meet in court.
The fact that Tommy is not here today to read some of these comments is the reason why they are writing them.

So Im curious Trisha, if Tommy didnt have HIV/AIDS, what was the cause of his incredible weight loss, lesions, and illness(es) which resulted in his death at such an early age? Linda publicly stated that Tommy had full blown AIDS. If he did and you denying that, and the lesson that it could teach, thats pretty irresponsible. Im sorry for your loss and bear no ill will against you or Tommy but Tommy's story was a frightening one and became a cautionary tale in the mid 90s for boxers. If nothing else his legacy in that regard may have actually had more of an impact than his career ever did.

In 2011 Tommy was flown to Wichita, Ks in a private jet , under a sealed fugitive warrant arrest. (and the case got mysteriously dropped). He came out of jail with an INSECT BITE to his chest. Doctor said either a tick or brown recluse bite. We returned to TN and he underwent surgery on Dec.01-2011 on his chest. It was supposed to be a one hour outpatient surgery. We came out 1 week later. The next day the home health nurse came to do wound change. We found 12FOOT of surgical gauze had been left in Tommy's chest for a week. The nurse nearly passed out, and that night from the trauma, Tommy's leg gave way and he fell head first into and through the wall of our bedroom. He landed on his neck and fell to the ground. His body was in septic shock. He fought septic shock for 21 months. No aids defining diseases...no hiv in his blood. So after receiving that information I emailed the doctor in Las vegas that was there in 1996 and told him I hoped he had good medical malpractice as there was no HIV in Tommy. He got his attorney to reply to me on Dec.23,2013...confirming that his client...the doctor..had NEVER diagnosed Tommy with hiv in Vegas on February 10,1996.

Like I said, I can name laws, and documents giving all manner of bonuses to everyone that is specifically not white.

In other words, THE only verifiable privilege that exists, and has race involved in it, Is laws, rights and benefits, that are given to all races OTHER than white.

Everything else is pure imaginary. I will be waiting patiently for you to prove me wrong, by showing me any law that exists that specifically gives whites rights and privileges over other races.

Now the reverse.. I can find easily.

So perhaps you should check your privilege, and instead come up with facts. If you REALLY want go there. :rasta
