I don't know do I? You really do have trouble admitting that Burns is finished.

You really are being ironic when you call me biased. Ricky was like Tyson to you, when infact, to the majority, he was the biggest over-achiever we've had.

There is a difference between over achieving and winning two world titles and fighting ten title fight my friend.
You have an issue admitting the over achiever smashed the under achiever I simply but it down to ignorance, lack of knowledge or both

Billy, do you hope if you lie and kiss Ricky's **** as much as possible he might come back?

You cannot truly believe the rubbish you type?

I'm sorry but, you can't deny the facts here - there is "over achieving" there is "lucky" but you DO NOT fight 10 world title fights with just those , no... They are earnt! That's the facts lads.. They cannot be denied , Burns was a good champion & should be regarded as what he was, a sucsessful 2 weight world champion .

Whether he will get back into the mix , I don't know - a lot has changed, not least the fact that even in the UK the division is so strong. He's older, a little more worn... But he was still a lot more sucsessful than Mitchell, Crolla , coyle , buckland, Sykes , Mathews & so many more..in fact holds more world honours than them combined. Whether the likes of Campbell & Flanagan surpass his achievements is yet to be seen..lay off him lads Jesus,

10 title fights without facing a world class opponent. Let's be truthful here.

How many world title fights have the following had

    Crolla
    Mathews
    Coyle
    Mitchell
    Carlde
Cos let's be honest, those are his competition in Britain. The answer is 4 by the way - 3 losses for Mitchell & win for Mathews, still 6 short of Ricky.

As for titles held - again burns holds that doesn't he!

    Come off it .

What relevance does any of that have if Burns never fought a world class opponent and his career is clearly on the slide?

Well first of all his career is something to be proud of , especially considering what others in the uk have achieved at the same weight(s) as for being on the slide, he tried moving up in weight when things weren't going to plan, he suffered a horrid injury in one fight which IMO he did well to finish, and was beaten by Crawford in another - no shame there.hes seen as on the slide because the others around have matured into themselves, catching him up maybe - in terms of ability that is, still a LONG way to go before they match his achievements ..

As for not "fighting world class" I'd actually say that
    katsidis
    Roman Martinez
    Kev Mitchell
    Are / were world class...

Katsidis was utterly shot to pieces, Mitchell isn't/wasn't world class and Roman Martinez was massively overrated in a super weak division, let's be honest.

Katsidis shot to pieces ? I'm not so sure...just 12 month before hed been in with Marquez for a full run .
Mitchell isn't / wasn't world class - Erm, well can you name me many other fights who have fought for 3 world titles with out being world class?

Martinez over rated in the division? The same division he went on to win the title in TWICE , over a 3 year period.

    Come on that's nonsense..
