That's largely due to the British bookies and the British betters. Same thing happened before the Wlad vs Haye fight and the Kovalev vs Cleverly massacre.

Nah, that's not what I'm talking about.

I mean the part where you mentioned the 4 to 1 odds tightening when the fight comes near. That's not because the fight is actually closer, but the number of betters that think having the same birthplace/residence has a positive influence on the quality of a fighter. I think 6 to 1 is about right in this fight.

So It's just a pointless thread stating It'd be a big upset if Fury wins. Btw Ali was a highly rated prospect who got the title shot by beating other top10 HW prospect. He was also the youngest olympic champion. In other words, nothing like Fury.

Nothing alike apart from that bit then:good

Its not about it neing a shock its about how other great fighters have been completely dismissed before given the chance to really prove themselves.

The IQ in this forum makes me laugh:happy

Are you even aware they had two fights?

It was the rematch that he supposedly threw because of the mafia:patsch

Ali was considered way too small for "big" Liston. People recognized Alis skill, just thought he's too fragile and small. Fury isn't considered too small for Wlad. Just too unskilled.

    No...

Again, if people bother to read the artical in the first post which is quoted from Ring. It says Ali was thought to have a weak chin and not strong enough.
