Managers agreed Loma-Rigo fight at a featherweight (126 pounds) with a rehydration clause of 134 pounds for fight night. Arum said it would be in the fall in Chicago or Dubai. Does anybody want this mismatch (Ring p4p #5 boxer against a guy with record just 4-1-0 (2 KO)) happened?

Lomachenko would be the favorite here actually.

This is a purist's dream. I, and many others, are ecstatic this fight is being made. I think Lomachenko wins, personally.

You're either an idiot or a troll.

Do people actually want the fight??? Rigo bores me to death, but I still want to see two of the very best in the world fight, at their peaks.

  5. Excellent. Rigondueax will destroy another Top Rank hype job. Arum is a ****in glutton for punishment this year.

Cuban Goblin teeth will fly through the air. Loma will make Rigo look like an amateur, and a bad one.

I think Lomachenko will UD him or KO him late. As a pro Rigondeaux has never been in the ring with anyone near the complete skillset of Lomachenko, granted nor has Loma, but Loma has intangibles that Rigo may not have an answer for, his speed, his combinations, his accuracy, and due to Rigo being the smaller man Loma's power will also be a factor, most fighters have played right into Rigo's hands and given him exactly what he wants, I think Lomachenko will attempt to dictate the pace, take the play away and possibly make Rigo stalk him, and ultimately confuse him, this could be the chess match to end all chess matches, but in the end Rigo's brilliant countering and ring generalship will be trumped by Loma's diversity of attack and malleability.

  10. Rigo has won 388 of 400 bouts in the amateurs. He has seen Vasyline's style many times and beat it. Even in his mid thirty's he has Loma's number. Again Loma will lose to a veteran fighter.

Anyone know Loma's rough fight night weight? Any indication of how the rehydration clause would affect him?

I feel like an in decent shape Loma would eventually tag Rigo good and he doesn't look to have the most solid of chins.

His in ring weight for his first fight was 129, since then it seems to be in the 135-138 range. I wouldn't expect 134 to be much of a problem.

I can't believe this fight is even a possibility. Is this life?

How about the fighters? Have they agreed to anything?
