When GGG moves up to HW and gets a piece of the title, against anybody, let me know. Say what you want about Jones, but moving from middleweight to heavyweight while winning titles is a great accomplishment.

Jones is on a very short list of ATG fighters in regard to that accomplishment.

Only the guys you are putting him on that list with fought and beat THE Heavyweight Champion not a trinket beltholder. That is the difference. Lennox Lewis was THE Heavyweight Champion not Johnny Ruiz. You are putting him on a list he doesn't even belong on :rofl

And you're saying a 30 something one dimensional power puncher with no real scalps on his resume would give Roy trouble.

    Which is more delusional pal.

Ruiz is the same fighter Lewis didnt want to fight even though i think lewis would have easily beat ruiz. But you saying like ruiz is a bum fighter which he was not. I wouldve bet if ggg did what jones did by moving up at heavyweight after first fighting at mw, ggg would get tko by ruiz. Jones beat Ruiz with blazing speed and skill which ggg dont have that.

We've been having these discussions for ages.

Your absolute hate for Roy, clouds your judgement.

Now I can respect the fact that you think that Kovalev would have won, as long as you give me a logical opinion as to why. If you think Roy would have been caught, I've no issue with that. But to not give Roy a chance, is ridiculous.

Kovalev has question marks around him. It's okay for you to say that Roy never fought a savage puncher like him, but who on earth has Kovalev fought who's possessed Roy's offensive ars*nal? To date, we have no idea how Kovalev would have handled a guy possessing great speed and skills. Kovalev has been caught off balance and dropped before, and Jean Pascal had success with 4 or 5 right hands while he was just winging away. Roy had one punch knockout power in either hand at 175, and we have no idea how Kovalev could have reacted to a power shot from him. We don't know if it'd have made him more aggressive, or even defensive. How do we know that Roy couldn't have made him reluctant and hesitant? We don't.

Anyone who thinks that Kovalev would have walked through him like nothing and not respected him, is a complete fool IMHO. It would have been a very dangerous fight, for BOTH fighters.

Roy was taking PED's :hey There is no possible way a bloated up Middleweight like Roy could have fought competitively against Ruiz, who is a small heavyweight.

Again, I said even a piece of the title. So please read before responding.

And even so, it's still a great accomplishment. If it's so easy, and GGG is so great, I'm sure we'll expect him to move up any day now.

So don't mistake what I'm saying, as I'm not putting it on par with winning THE title and I was clear about that in my original post. But it's a great accomplishment regardless. To say otherwise is just being ridiculous.

I'm sure if you list the fighters that have moved from 160 to Heavyweight and even won a single fight, it is a short list. Especially if you only go by the "modern era." Going to have to bust out the old-timers when Heavyweights were still weighing 190-200 pounds...

Kovalev still has a career ahead of him. Jones is finished and left huge question marks because of his propensity to handpick fights and avoid the top fighters in every weight class he fought in.

Says the guy who only roots for fighters of a certain race :rofl If GGG were an african american you would be his biggest nutthugger.

As for the dumbest thread you might think what you want its irrelevant but when it comes to dumb threads nobody beats the one bellow.

Do not need any, it is obvious he did. How can a bloated up Middleweight compete at heavyweight? :nut and actually win a belt. :patsch

    We've discussed this numerous times.

Roy did not avoid all of the top fighters in each division. You can repeat it all you want, it won't make it true.

Yes, Kovalev still has a great future ahead of him. But again, that means that at this moment in time, there's still question marks surrounding him. At the moment, there's simply not enough evidence to hand, to suggest that he'd have gone through Roy with ease.

And the same also applies to GGG.

Dont waste your time with that tranny, he hates every fighter thats isnt of a certain race.

He says Pacquiao was on steroids cause he moved up in weight and didnt lose his speed and power(which isnt true) but yet Jones who moved up from light heavy to HW putting on 20 pounds of muscle in one fight without losing any power or speed is clean.:nut

Also Pacquiao never tested positive for steroids but hes a cheater while Jones tested positive for roids when he fought the hopeless Richard Hall and hes clean, thats some re****ed insecure tranny logic right there.:deal
