Because he knew he would fight scared in the rematch to ensure a cheap win on points.

I'm pretty sure we are dealing with a bunch of teeny boppers from urban America. Surely MVC and his crew are all high school rejects.

An undefeated record has never meant more in boxing until Mayweather used it as his selling tool.

Fighters like De La Hoya, Pacquiao, Tyson, Holyfield... had zero problems building a legacy to withstand the times and had zero problems selling fights.

People paid to watch them be gladiators, not to watch them lose like they do for Mayweather.

Lol.. with you're Floyd goggles on you think Floyd looked like Pac-Cotto or Canelo-Kirkland... but if you take them off you'll see a fighter punching once and running away, punching once and hugging, repeat for 12 rounds...

    Lol

I personally don't care about the 0 whatsoever. It's just a marketing tool to help him sell his fights, and it's something he doesn't even really need to promote at this juncture in his career.

I'm exponentially more impressed with the fact he's arguably the best fighter ever in a weight class (130 lbs,) is 25-0 in title fights, has beaten around 10 hall of famers in his career, has won championships in 5 different weight classes including a record 4 lineal championships, that he's the current, simultaneous lineal champion in 2 weight classes and lastly a top 10 P4P ranked boxer since 1998.

Those points, IMO, trump his undefeated record greatly and is why I view him as a top 20 P4P fighter in the history of this sport.
